Vintage French Pressed Botanicals Reveal

3.04.2019

It's going to be a much better week! The flu bug has left, the rain is gone, cold temps have returned and the vintage French pressed botanicals have been hung. I cannot tell y'all how much I love the change these made hanging in the foyer. The foyer should tell your story and set the mood for the home and this look certainly tells my story.
I went ahead and took these photos with my phone while it was raining yesterday and I love the cozy vibe these have with the lamps on.

I love French country or French farmhouse style and a relaxed casual style. I love mixing in collections and adding a bit of whimsy here and there. I don't like stuffy and overly formal styles.

Mr. Savvy was very meticulous getting these perfectly centered over the chest.

It's fun studying these. I love how even the roots are included.

Excuse the glare, but look closely and you can see how the plant is pinned to the paper with straight pins.

They're even Miss Bailey approved.

Have an awesome week!

  2. You could probably swap out for non-glare glass. They look good there over the chest! And your pictures reminded me that I have a similar silver tray (belonged to my grandmother) that I need to pull out and use. I haven't used it in quite a while. Happy Monday!

    1. I could be wrong, but I think the glass is partially holding the stems/leaves in place. These appear to be very old. I would be afraid they would fall apart if she'd try to change the glass.
