Simple Summer Candle Display

6.11.2019

We had rain all weekend which makes it impossible to take pictures for the blog. I want to start sharing some updates and summer decor posts so I'll wait on the sun. While it was rainy I decided to burn a candle in the sun room. I shared it on instagram and many wanted to know where the holder was from so I thought today I would show y'all this simple summer candle display that I put together in minutes.

As you can see the candle holder base is actually upside down. I saw this idea on instagram and I wish I could remember who and give them credit. When I saw the candle holder sitting on a table I kept studying it until I realized the bottom was upside down.

Here it is turned the correct way. This is sold at Pottery Barn and I was lucky to get it for half price plus free shipping. It was a one day deal. The other day they had it on sale even lower than what I paid, but not with free shipping. I decided to dress mine up a bit with some oyster shells that I ordered from Ebay. I bought five pounds fo oyster shells for twenty dollars.

This is only a few of the shells. The rest I placed in a bowl.

I placed a few shells on the bottom then placed the candle on them and then just placed the rest around the sides. I love the texture the shells add.

I burned the candle Friday night and all day Saturday and it was so pretty on a stormy day.
Hopefully the sun is out today!

Hope y'all have a great week and remember to follow along on Instagram.

  1. Yesterday the large size candle holder was $30.99 (less than half off) and you could use coupon code "freeship". Not sure if the sale is still on, but just in case anyone wants the candle holder they can check it out.
