Our Family Christmas Traditions and the Heart of the Home

Today we are going in the heart of the home as I share our family Christmas traditions.

We take turns in my family hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas eve and this year it is my turn to host Christmas eve dinner. We start out with appetizers and drinks and socializing and this year I'm serving pots of red and white chili for dinner with all the toppings. I did this a few years ago when I hosted and it was a big hit. I can make the pots of chili ahead of time as it is even better when it is reheated. The rest of the family will bring the appetizers and desserts and we will eat, drink and be merry.

I'm joining some friends today as we each share our traditions and their links will be at the end of the post.

Christmas Vignettes

Vignettes are easy to create.....well, not always, but they are what add the jewelry to a room. Just think how plain a room would be, unless your a minimalist, if there wasn't any accessories added.
Today I'm sharing some favorite Christmas vignettes from posts I have shared since sometimes when  touring a whole room we miss those smaller details.
Be sure to click on the links if you missed any of these rooms.

Wow Us Wednesdays #366

Welcome to Wow! We are getting so close to Christmas! Are you ready? I haven't wrapped a single present yet, but I always do those late. I have ordered some gifts so I'm just waiting for them to arrive. We live very close to a really big mall, but it's so much easier to sit her in my warm house and in my comfy pajamas and click away. I have been out a few times to the mall area and it is just karazy!

Let's look at some features and get this party started.

I love the vintage mantel in Pamela's Christmas bedroom that she made over and that tree.

The Christmas Sunroom 2017

Each year I try to decorate the rooms in my home differently than the year before and I had no clue what I was going to do in the sunroom. This was the last room I decorated and usually it's the first. So I have added some simple decorations including a small fresh silver tip tree.
I thought this tree would never get here though.

Snowy Sundays in my French Country Dining Room

Last week I shared my Christmas eve table setting where there were peeks of a tree and now I'm revealing that beautiful flocked tree that I am so in love with. It's the six and a half foot tall Artic White Spruce from Tree Classics who I have partnered with for their Snowy Sundays campaign along with some friends whose links will be at the end of the post. This tree is just the right size to fit in the corner of my dining room without getting in the way for my guests to get up from the table to get seconds. This is the first time I have had a tree in this room and there's just something special about a tree covered in snow.

Snowy Georgia and Home Style Saturdays

Good Saturday morning from snowy Georgia. Y'all I. LOVE. SNOW! Like Oprah Winfrey loves bread....I....Love....Snow.
I know those who deal with it all the time most likely don't love it, but this southern girl who rarely gets to see it loves it!
It is still snowing, but should stop later this morning.
