A Patriotic Favorite Room

I didn't ask another blogger to share their favorite room today since it is a holiday and there won't be a lot of blog traffic so I am sharing a few patriotic touches added to one of my favorite rooms.....the farmhouse style guest room.

Just some tiny flags added to an enamelware pitcher, another flag pillow on the bed already dressed in red, white and blue, a flag tucked into another pitcher of flowers, and a red, white and blue quilted star pillow sits on a chippy blue chair. Just simple additions that add some holiday pizzazz.

You can check out the Spring Version or the Christmas Look, too if you missed them.

I hope y'all have a fantastic and safe 4th!

Stars and Stripes in the Sun Room

Can y'all believe it is almost July 4th?! This summer is just passing on by. I really wish it would just slow down a bit.

Since it is almost Independence Day I thought I would add some patriotic decor to the sun room.

I have had the blue striped pillows from Pottery Barn for years. I like to pull them back out and use them occasionally.

The star pillow is new from PB. I love the textured stars on this one and I did get it on sale.

I still have my favorite red checked pillow in this chair.

Oh, what's that you say? Is that a new chair? Why, yes. Yes it is. This baby was sitting in the Pottery Barn outlet store and all their upholstered pieces were an extra 20% off. I didn't have to think too long about it and pulled the tag off so no one else could claim it.

I knew it would be perfect in here. The other cheap very firm chair from overstock.com was killing my hip so I hope this much comfier one will help with that since this is where I sit most of the time. This is the Gramercy chair in the American Stripe fabric. Suitable name for the 4th, don't you think?

This blue striped ironstone bowl was one of my Lucketts' purchases from Miss Mustard Seed's booth.
It normally sits on the open shelving cabinet in the kitchen.

These chairs now reside in here with the blue striped grain sack pillows.

I already have one of these flag pillow covers, but they were a really good by at the outlet mall last weekend so another one came home with me. This is on the other side of the room.

Have you added any patriotic decor?

I hope y'all have a super week!
