I love her big plush inviting bed. I just want to jump on it and snuggle up under those covers. She told me the canopy above the bed with the sheer material was found in a local flea market for just TEN DOLLARS!!
I love the use of this antique chest for her nightstand.
Another flea market find!
Slipcovered chair with an ottoman to sit in and enjoy a good book.
Now let's enter the bathroom.
I love all the romantic touches she has added to her bathroom.
She bought this nice shelving unit at Tarjay a few years ago. She did have it in her family room and then moved it to the bathroom to hold towels, soaps and personal mementos.
There are two vanity areas and this is at the far end of the bathroom.
This is the other one on the left.
Pretty light hanging above the shelving unit.
Stack of hat boxes on top of the shelving unit. I love this touch of whimsy in the bathroom.
Beautiful hooked rug.
Close up of candelier and the chippy worn vintage tin tile.
Such a pretty cherub on the corner of the tub.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of her bedroom and bathroom. Isn't it beautiful? This girl knows how to add charm to a space on a budget!! Everything comes either form flea markets or consignment stores or stores like HomeGoods and Hobby Lobby.
I am linking to Jenny Matlock's blog for Alphabet Thursday! The letter this week is M for Master bedroom and bath. Please go over to Jenny's and check out the other posts that start with the letter M.
Thanks so much for visiting and please drop me a note so I will know you came by.

ReplyDeleteRobin
Your sister is a very talented decorator, too. I love that big bed! Her bathroom is gorgeous, too. She did a great job finding all the hrifty goodies in these rooms!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best things about blogging ... getting ideas that might work in our own homes! I love everything but I noticed right away that the bathroom reminds me of the one I have not decorated yet! My tub looks just like that and I have been looking for an angel or some statue to put in the same corner to make a 'white' bathroom look more romantic. I love the chandelier with candles ,too! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, thanks for the parade of your sister's home, it is just lovely!! It's so warm and inviting! Wonderful photographs too!
ReplyDeleteNancy
Your sister's master bedroom is so beautiful! I love all the romantic touches especially the chandelier over the tub! I am going to keep an eye out for one!

ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful Kim! I have the same comforter set for one of my guest rooms!!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the leopard rug in the bedroom! Is there any way you could find out where it came from?
ReplyDeleteYummy! Kim, we would be fighting for a spot on that ginormous bed which is making me very sleepy.
ReplyDeleteI really like the lamp on the vanity.
Thanks for sharing.
How stunning Kim! I adore the rooms. She has fabulous style. :)
ReplyDeleteYour sister has talent! Such a beautiful inviting space.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to see you uploaded these pics on your blog tonight! Thank you for trying to show my home in it's best light. Wish it always looked that way! Ha! Please tell Stephylou that my leopard rug came from Ballards. I'm not sure if they still sell it though. If not, Decorators Showcase catalog sells it. I may need to doublecheck if that is the correct name. I love a touch of leopard in a room! Thanks to everyone for their sweet comments so far and thank you Kim for all the warm compliments and sharing my home with all your friends.
ReplyDeleteKim, your sister is so talented, I could just crawl up on that bed with a glass of sweet tea and read my latest novel. I think she has a great eye. I am in the planning stage of redoing my bath and I notice she has brass like me. I am going to spray paint all my knobs and handles with a brushed nickel paint from Lowe's only because I see on all the decorating shows that brass is out. Just passing it on, something she might want to do.
ReplyDeleteI adore the piece over the tub and the chande too! Everything looks so comfy and cozy, I just want to dive right in:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kim! It's clear to see that both you and your sister have wonderful taste and an eye for decorating!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
It's very beautifully decorated... so romantic!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful rooms! I love the black furniture too. Love the colors she has used and it's also light and airy! I am not lucky enough to have seen the Ivy anywhere and it's incredibly hard to get certain pieces on ebay because the bidding is fierce.
