You sound like you are surviving and you KNOW it will all be worth it. As I was looking at your "dumping grounds", I just thought to myself, "Man -- I LOVE those rooms!" You have such a talent, Kim. I was impressed again with the green background of the hutch. My goodness -- I really need to get decorating!
ReplyDeleteI see some lovely furniture in those dumping grounds!
ReplyDeleteKim, been there done that! So sorry, but I know when you are finished it will be all worth it! Please do show us the end results. You home is lovely even in a little chaotic state.
ReplyDeleteAfter all that hard work. Im sure everything will look beautiful with the great colors you chose. Have a good Sunday...Julian
ReplyDeleteKim, you are getting close, oh so close!! I'll look fantastic when you are done, can't wait to see photographs of it all put together!
ReplyDeleteHave a good night!
Nancy
So much hard work, but oh how gorgeous it will be. You have such a beautiful home and such beautiful furniture. This is when I love to switch things up and put some things in different rooms and try a whole new look. I can't wait to see it all done. You really deserve a very long rest. Hugs, Marty

Hee hee .. I'm sorry Kim! Glad you had a snicker. You have a very good man, indeed. Just make sure if he works in anyone else's house to wear a shirt ; ) LOL!
ReplyDeleteEverything really does look wonderful! I like your color choices too.
Think of how wonderful everything is going to look. I just love the smell of freshly painted walls. It smells so clean! Great spring fresh-up.
ReplyDeleteLisa
I love your entry those windows are very pretty! I bet it will look awesome when u are all finished.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I know this is driving you crazy because you are like me a neat knick. But unlike me you are very ambitious and a go getter to get this done in a weekend, I am totally impressed. Are you loving the color as much as you thought you would. Sometimes what seems to be a subtle change makes a huge change. I jope you can take a few days to rest next week. Good luck my friend, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteI have two walls I have been putting off painting for six months! It is by far my least favorite thing to do. Your home is still beautiful even with this project going on.

It looks wonderful well minus the dishevel and all!;) You have the best hubby! Will he come over and change out my two story foyer light fixture!? Mine is not brave enough.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely home you have!! Just beautiful. It is all going to be wonderful once you are all finished. and...before the really hot summertime, too. Good Job!!

Wish our projects went so fast! Everything is looking great!
ReplyDeleteKim, Oh, how I've had very similar dumping grounds! Why is it that there is so much chaos and disorder? It takes as much time to clean up as it does to do the actual job! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will all look just like you want it, once you're done.
hugs, Sue
Boy you guys work fast and efficient Kim...I love the color so far what I can see.
ReplyDeleteLOL...cute! I love the color, my daughter just built a home and this is the color she chose too. I just hate it when my house is all moved around like that but it has to be once in a while to be even better. Can't wait to see yours all put back together! Come say hi :D
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate the upset and mess?....although my place always looks a LOT worse than that when I'm painting!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks fantastic already!!! And can't wait to see your light redo! :)
ReplyDeleteI bet the mess is driving you nuts, but it's going to be bright and shiny new when you finish painting and put everything back!
ReplyDeleteLookin Good Kim and just think it's almost done!! Can't wait to see the result pictures because knowing you ,you're going to switch things up a bit!Great choice for the paint color.
ReplyDeleteI love how fresh it always smells with a new coat of paint!! That is one big job!! Glad you have a wonderful man to help you with it!!
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be beautiful, Kim!
ReplyDeleteLove the color.
It is looking great! Don't you find it so hard to constantly work around all the stuff??? I wish we could be like the HGTV and have people move all the stuff out to work in an empty room!!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there...the end is near!
Kim....it is looking great. Painting is so much work, but when you're done, it's all worth it. Can't wait to see the completed photos.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding???? You're having a fantastic weekend!!! To know that you're getting something done that you've been wanting done for a long time AND you're husband is helping you? That sounds like a perfect weekend to me! Everything is looking good. Now can you just loan me your husband to come over and paint my boys bedrooms? We wouldn't want him to get out of practice or anything.
ReplyDeleteoh Kim it looks like it is going to look
ReplyDeleteawsome i do know the feeling of haveing a mess when i move all the rooms needed to be done and it sent me off the edge.I want to paint my kitchen and am thinking if i do it myself i will do one section at a time so i dont deal with the mess cant wait till you can rest a while :)
Kim,
ReplyDeleteHang in there, it will all be done at some time or another. I know it is hard to live when everything is out of order, at least for me.
Your comment about your hubby is cracking me up :)
xo
Robin
Kim,
ReplyDeleteIf it helps we look the same over here! It was so much fun emptying the rooms for the projects, but now I am exhausted and trying to put it all back! Can't wait to see your finished pictures! I know they will be awesome :)
Wendy
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteWeren't you suppose to be resting girl???
Doesn't it just thrill your heart when your hubby has a paint roller (or in my case a paint brush cause I do the rolling)in his hand. No thrill like it!! lol
Well, I am glad you showed us the turmoil, cause seeing it all put back together just makes it all the more fun!!
Looks like it is coming out very nicely. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Blessings, Nellie
This is going to be so pretty!
ReplyDeleteDonna
Looks terrific Kim :) Your husband will be so much easier to clean this way, and no stained shirts!! I love the color, it looks warmer, which fits your personality better. Thank you for being a real person for 2 reasons. 1)pic of hubby shirtless 2)showing that you have to have clutter to make things prettier! You are great!
ReplyDeleteYour color is looking nice. Don't you hate doing a project and the mess that it creates in the house? That is the worst part.
ReplyDeleteYou are almost finished and it looks great.
Looking good! I love your chandelier..
ReplyDeleteAnd your man is saving you lots of money! I just paid 450 to have my dining room painted!
Best looking "dumping grounds" I have ever seen! Your home is so gorgeous, can't wait to see it all back together!!! When we painted we had 5 different ladders in our living room(cathedral ceilings)....what a mess!!!! But the end result is SO worth it! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog, but ran across yours while looking at something else. I plus my sister and now all her friends are hooked. Love your style and look forward to your projects. We have a little junkin booth @ an antique store and we are always looking for new ideas to make over our finds at thrift stores and flea markets. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home.
