Take this.....
........and some of this and you get......?????????
You will have to wait. I just hope it turns out like I want. This is no joke. I haven't sewn in probably thirty years. I don't think the saying "it's just like riding a bike" works here. Keep your fingers crossed!
That is what I am up to. How about you??
Love to hear from you and have a wonderful weekend!
Y'all come back now,
KIM
Cute fabric. I can't wait to see what you make. Doing nothing here, just relaxing. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteKim I can't wait to see it! Not like riding a bike is what I would say.....you will do great I know you will!~
ReplyDeleteWay to go Kim, can't wait to drop back by and see what you have created!
ReplyDeleteI love to sew, I don't sew well, but like sewing. Have not done it in quite a while.
Nancy
Yay Kim!!! I think you'll be fine. I always keep a seam ripper handy when I am sewing! Are you making something for that cute coastal room or your sunroom???
ReplyDeleteToday I finished decorating and taking photos of my basement patio. I also picked up a headboard for my youngest daughter & planted most of my annuals. It's threatening to rain here and the sun isn't out, which is a good thing when you're outside on a warm day!
Can't wait to see what you're up to! Good luck!
I'm intrigued! Can't wait to see how your sewing project turns out. I am sure it will stunning and very stylish, just like everything you do!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha.

Kim...I can't wait to see what you are up too;)! You always have the best project reveals!
ReplyDeleteI checked out your sunroom again! I love it just as much the second time...I wish I lived close so I could hang out there...so lovely!
Enjoy!
Cathy
I've been outside hanging plates. Which came after I hung the red mirror. I just can't stop with that silly fence!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Are you making curtains or pillows? Can't wait to see.
ReplyDeleteWe just planted three flats of pennywort on our new pathway. We've also been cleaning flower beds. It's amazing how many leaves hide in there when you live among the trees.
Oh Kim you have encouraged me. I'm like you, I don't think I've sewn in thirty years,,EVEN though my husband bought me a sewing machine 11 years ago.lol.
ReplyDeleteI've been to yard sales today and last night. I've been to Walmart today more times than I care to mention, I've been tweaking in the garden, tweaking in the house, and now just spending some time reading a few posts.
Hi Kim! Hmmm.... what could you be making? I have an idea but I won't be a spoiler.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun sewing again after a long time isn't it?
I'm just trying to shovel out with as little work as possible around here!
Happy May Day!
Uh huh, sure. If that were the case then I wouldn't have needed so many sewing classes, lol! Of course, I don't pay attention as well as I should so I'm sure with me, it's all user error.
ReplyDeleteI am seeing pillows in your future!! Good luck!! I am in the middle of a project that my hubby and I are both wondering why the heck did I open a can of worms, Yikes!! Time will tell if it will turn out. Good luck on your project and wish me luck on mine. Kathysue
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thirty years, huh? Sounds pretty familiar. I helped Amanda make some kitchen curtains when I was there last August. I have some projects of my own that have been just staring me in the face since December (slipcover--never made one). Maybe you will inspire me to jump in! I have a sewing machine that has never even been out of the box! Did I tell that on myself??
ReplyDeleteHmmm - pillows, lined curtains, seat covers...........
ReplyDeleteI don't know about it being 'just like riding a bike' - I've had to 'relearn' my machine every time I leave it packed away for too long.
What am I up to? Nursing The Great Dane who had an accident while shopping in the local DIY store.
I have been working on a sewing project myself the last couple of weeks. It probably should not have taken two weeks but I'm no pro ya know ;o) I actually do not enjoying sewing anymore...just don't have the patience that I used too I guess?!?!? Can't wait to see what you are making...I'm sure it will be fabulous!!!!

HI Kim,
ReplyDeleteYou are teasing us! Come on now, what will it be? Do like I do and just take it nice and slow, and have the seam ripper handy!! I have several on hand...always!!
Have fun,
XO

I did a little sewing too! Can't wait to see your curtains!
ReplyDeleteBecca
Love the fabric and can't wait to see what you are making. I just know that you will do fine...it will all come back to you as you start to sew again.
ReplyDelete~Cindy~
Hmmm...can't wait to see what you are putting together! I love to sew but haven't done so for a long time! I need to dust off the machine and my skills! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Carolyn ~ Cottage Sunshine
Hmmm, I am curious, Kim. Can't wait to see it done...Christine
ReplyDeleteDon't keep us in suspense too long!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim -
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about not touching a sewing machine in a while. I think the last time I really did any sewing was a few years ago. I have a couple of sewing projects I want to do, it's just getting the courage up to do them ;) Can't wait to see it when you're done.
Toni
I think it's great you are sewing again! Can't wait to see what you are doing!
ReplyDeleteSewing is sort of like riding a bicycle!!! Some of it comes back to you! We survived the storms through here in Missouri but were without power for about 18 hours. I planted all my potted outdoor plants and one new shrub. Now we need mulch! Can't wait to see your project!!
ReplyDeleteWe will be picking up a new kitten later today. Come by and check him out.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see.... It's bound to be beautiful if you touch it.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the project!
ReplyDeleteOoh Kim...I can't wait to see what you are up to this weekend! As for me, it was 2 mornings of yard sales and estate sales and then 2 evenings of baseball games. I'm tired but I promised my youngest to take him and a friend to a carnival in town today. Maybe tonight after Desperate Housewives I'll just crash!
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Ann

ReplyDeleteI should be sewing...can't wait to see what you create! It's been hot so we've stayed inside where it's cool and today we went shopping for shoes and summer time clothes! Just for fun...the best kind of shopping! ♥
ReplyDeleteI really need/want to buy a sewing machine! Hope you had fun!
ReplyDeleteDon't make us wait too long....I think you should teach yourself how to monogram to support your addiction, oops fascination with them! We know it's going to be pretty whatever it is you're doing!
