I hope everyone had a good weekend. My daughter and son in law came and picked up the finished changing table on Saturday and then I went down today to take some pictures of it in the room. I just want to continue sharing the progress that has been made.
Here it is in it's prominent spot in the nursery. She has hung the drapes as you can see, but they will be
taken down and carried to the cleaners to be pressed. Excuse the painters tape on the floor by the closet
door the painting in the closet is not finished. For those who missed my post about refinishing the changing table you can see it here.
Here's a closer look at the drapery fabric. Isn't it cute? This is the Emmy Monkey collection from
Pottery Barn Kids which is no longer available. She got a real good deal on Ebay.
This is a little pink sock monkey that I picked up today at Cracker Barrel when we ate there
after church. It is exactly what I was looking for to add to the nursery.
This is the baby bed all put together and it converts into a full size bed for later.
They ordered a mattress that should be delivered tomorrow. The bed is a dark brown even though
it kind of looks black in the photo.
Outside of the bumper pads.
Inside of the bumper pads.
And here is mama to be at six months.
We still need to add some finishing touches such as artwork and she wants a chair that she has registered for. Plus she will need a floor lamp by the chair or a little table and lamp. We would love to find a good deal on a chandelier to replace the ceiling fan. It is coming together nicely though and we can't wait till it is complete.

I hope everyone has a good week.
Y'all come back now,

Our little BabyE's nursery is monkey themed and I used to have a monkey themed guest bedroom although my daughter talked me out of everything I owned (monkey wise that is)..

ReplyDeleteHugs, Sherry
LOVE that adorable fabric!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, I was thinking how lucky you are to be involved in the decorating process. I hope when the time comes I will be able to have input! I looked back at your post of the dresser. I have 2 questions. Did you wipe the glaze over the whole dresser and then wipe off leaving in the creases? Also, you said that you sanded a couple spots before the glaze, I never thought about it, but that probably allows the glaze to stay in those spots? PS Your right, the pink monkey is perfect!!
ReplyDeleteCarol
