Anything looks better than a plain crate.
She use to have a red cover, but that doesn't work in our bedroom where her crate is now.
I was using this celery green towel. Now, it is a good towel from Williams Sonoma, but it is still just a towel and my little girl needs something better than that.
Then I made this cover out of burlap and did the stencil on top, but it still was too plain.
So I added this brown burlap ruffle. Now this is my first time making a ruffle so don't judge too harshly.
I think it looks so much better.
Bailey likes it, too.
If you want to see the first post on how I did the stencil go HERE.
Everyone have a super week!
Adorable idea Kim! Miss Bailey is too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteWell I know Bailey needed a rufffle. Kim, you are creative and brave. A sewing machine makes me shudder. hugs♥olive

ReplyDeleteKim - This is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Bailey is so chic with her ruffled burlap. What an adorable photo and she is a doll. I need one of these for our crate for our new puppy! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe ruffle is the perfect touch to the crate cover! And Bailey looks so adorable peeking out from under that ruffle...too cute!!
ReplyDelete~Cindy~
What a darling idea! I wish I could sew, and I would make something for the new puppies' crate. Bailey is so cute! I would love to see pics of your brother's Maltese.
ReplyDeleteWhaddaya mean you never made a ruffle before? With everything you do...how can that possibly be? Well, anyway...it is a grand piece now! I'm thinking she might need a little ruffled pillow to sleep on. I KNOW you-now you are going to want to sew ruffles on everything you own aren't you? I can feel it coming on! Diana
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect for Miss Bailey! She looks very proud of her beautiful crate :)
ReplyDeleteBailey looks like she is posing as a "model"!! How stinking adorable is that??? Oh and the ruffle is really cute on the burlap cover, too!!!!
ReplyDeleteI had to chuckle when I saw Bailey. She's such a cutie, and I think she missed her calling, she should have been a model!! The ruffle looks great Kim. Love the contrast!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! And I love the burlap - it's a fancy ruffle doggy style!
ReplyDeleteKim, This is so adorable with the added ruffle. You should market these...you could sell thousands! Bailey looks really happy with her new fancy cover.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment on my new table. You are always so supportive and I want you to know how much I appreciate it.
xo, Sherry
Hi Kim!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, it is so cute:)))
Hugs, Biljana
Oh... that is too cute, Kim! How did you get your sweet Bailey to sleep in the cage? Our Ellie would never stand for that (LOL)... maybe if I dressed it up as pretty as you did, she would. ;o) You did a great job... LOVE the monogram!
ReplyDeleteHugs ~ Jo :)
Awww, she is so cute! Now Bailey's house is all dressed up. Of course mom's house is always nicely decorated so you cannot neglect Bailey's home. I've had the promeganate tree since we moved and I did not know I had it until my friend showed me the fruits. I always just used to admire the red orange flowers when they bloom, they are so pretty....Christine
ReplyDeleteThat cage cover made me laugh. Adorable -- and the dog as well.
