I found these wonderful plates and bowls at HomeGoods last week and love them. I love the fruit motif on each one. I am not using these plates to eat on right now, but am using them decoratively on the wall in my sun room. I replaced the other plates I had hanging in here just to freshen things up.
I bought six plates, but four different patterns.
Pear.
Peach
Apple
Plums
I have more changes taking place in the sun room so be sure to check back in.
I may have to do a tablescape with my new stuff.
Plates $2.99 each
Bowls $3.99 each

ReplyDeleteLove your plates and bowls. This winter we hope to enclose a porch and I'll have more walls to decorate. I love your idea with the fruit plates. Might have to sorta, kinda, uhhhh...copy it......lol.......
ReplyDeleteKim lindas placas! Adorei as pinturas especificas de cada uma placa . Querida tema um bom dia cheio de alegria. Beijinho
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday Kim, I only check for your updates 40 times a day... ok, so I am telling a little white lie. I always come to see your posts and see what you have for us. I love that you shared about building your home. You have such a sweet spirit that comes across in your posts. I love your new bowls and plates....and I'm anxious to see what paint projects you are doing. ♥

I love those plates. I saw them at TJ's/Homegoods and they are even prettier in real life than in photos.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteI know those plates well! I "pushed" a friend into buying them...or a variation...a few years ago to hang in her kitchen. Her walls are a pale green and she still has them up and loves them!
HG is great for dishes I think.
Beautiful plates and bowls! I am sensing a fruit motif going on here in this room! You definitely need to do a tablescape so I can steal some of your ideas! LOL!
ReplyDeleteKim those plates are great, and I love the bowls, they look like a woven basket....nice choices! I also just picked up a (box of) four small plates from Pier 1 with French wording on them.....Have a great rest of the day!
ReplyDeleteDarn you Southern gals get all the good stores
ReplyDeleteKim I can't even get through one, and you are on three. Love the new plates, I have seen those, they are perfect for your sunroom...loving the yellow bowls too.
ReplyDeleteYour new plates and bowls are both lovely. Great colors. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThose dishes are adorable Kim. I love my Home Goods! It's how I console myself for not having a Hobby Lobby...
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Kim
I so wish we had a Home Goods in my area. You find the prettiest things for such a great deal, too. The bowls remind me of that pretty armoire you painted!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE fruit plates -- I only have one now, as I broke (weep weep) 2 other lovely ones that I had ---- so I may have to hitch up the wagon and mosey on over to Home Goods. These are pretty!
ReplyDeleteCass
Kim, we are soon to have a Homegoods. I'm so excited. Everyone in Blogland shows their wonderful finds, so I hope to be hanging out at the local one soon. LOL
ReplyDeleteI could use some of those bowls. ~ sarah
Cute plates and bowls! Oh, how I wish I had a Homegoods nearby.
ReplyDeleteLove the fruit plates. Very modern but feel old at the same time. Can't wait to see all your changes.
ReplyDeleteCute plates and bowls Kim! I almost stopped at Home Goods yesterday. I should have! :)
ReplyDeleteNothing like a few plates and bowls to add a little spark. It's hard to leave Home Goods empty handed.
ReplyDeleteI have read about your HomeGoods finds.....but did not even realize there was one here in Irving, Texas! My daughter and I discovered it Friday evening and we plan to stop in now and again! I got a beautiful wreath and a TON of gourmet coffee!!! By the way....I love your plates!!
ReplyDeleteLove them both! The plates look great in your sunroom!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Cathy
These are all so pretty...but your backsplash stole the show for me..beautiful !
ReplyDeleteI have always loved fruit plates. Yours are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

I heart those plates... So great against the green wall.
ReplyDeleteAHHHH...Kim I just bought one of those exact plates at TJ Maxx! I knew you had style and great taste! :-)
ReplyDeleteVanessa
Great finds, the bowls look great in you kitchen and the color of the plates will work well in your sunroom. I have seen those plates at TJ Maxx, they are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSandy
Lots of great finds...I love Home Goods, too! Looking forward to seeing your painting projects!
ReplyDeleteNo Home Goods in my town, unfortunately. Thank God for the TJMaxx. I use to go to TJ's at least once a week and usually found something wonderful in the housewares, alas now I have less space,I have to stay away.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteGreat plates. I have some very similar that I have had for a long time. You just reminded me how much I love them!
xoxo
Robin
Kim, I love your new plates and bowls!! Sooo very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Kim,
ReplyDeleteSuch great finds! I love the bowls and plates. That rooster is beautiful as well!
Blessings,
Kathy
Sooo pretty, Kim! I saw those plates at HomeGoods today! I love how you've chosen to display them. The yellow bowls seem to fit right in with your bright, fun colors, too! Thanks for sharing, *Becca*
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these pretty fruit plates and those bowls are a great addition to any kitchen...HAPPY NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAY!!!
Blessings,
Linda
Kim- Love your fruit plates on the wall. They're more sophisticated than the usual fruit motif.
ReplyDeleteThere is no Home Goods nearby- I have to drive about an hour to get to the closest one in Cincinnati & I'm not too sure this store gets the best things. When I was in Cali on vacation, I thought the HG stores had oodles of goodies! Maybe I'll have to give it another shot to see I can find some pretties!
hugs, Sue
We don't have a Home Goods! Hate it because everyone finds cute things there.
ReplyDeleteYes, these are definitely nifty thrifty treasures. Such pretty plates and bowls. I want to go to a HG store soooo badly! laurie
ReplyDeleteGotta love HomeGoods!
ReplyDeleteI'm such a fruit motif lover myself. I would have snatched those up also! Everything looks great!
Love the bowls specially, its one of my favourite colour, cheery and happy bowls... And plates are too very beautiful, I like the one with peach..its lovely...

Hope you enjoy my new post if you pay a visit there.Love
Kim- The plates are really lovely...and they feel like a Southern Fall to me. I always think of Fall there as being a bit lighter and brighter than it is here in the Midwest.
ReplyDeleteThe bowls are great too. Don't you love HomeGoods? One of ours is combined with a TJMaxx and is a huge store! Will look forward to your tablescape. Hugs- Diana

ReplyDeleteI follow your blog daily sometimes more than once a day to see what you have been up too. Can't wait to see your new projects. I also am starting a new paint project. I am finally going to paint my oak bathroom cabinets. I think I have the creamy white paint color chosen. Can you share the color of your cabinets. They come across as being a creamy white. Thanks
Judy, I had my kitchen cabinets professionally painted. He used primer, then an off white paint and then used stain to glaze with.
ReplyDeleteI love your new plates and bowls!! And I LOVE your granite. I have probably asked you this before (i'm sorry!) what color is your granite? I love it! I am leaning toward giallo ornamental, it is a close race between that Santa Cecilia! And I still want to see new venetian gold as well, LOL.
ReplyDeleteps- can't wait to see your painting projects!! :)
ReplyDeleteI see that rooster lamp in the background. I have the same one! Love it.
