I just can't stop painting. I have three projects that I have been working on this week. Well, actually one is done, the second one will be done tomorrow and the third is waiting in the wings.
Here are some snippets.
Can you tell what these are?
Sorry I am a wee bit slow on visiting my fav blogs.
The party is still going strong and will be open through Friday if you want to add a makeover to it here. Such inspiration out there. Keep it coming!
Oh, and I think I am about tired of living in paint clothes.
See ya,
KIM
These little spinets look amazing!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the whole shebang :)
my guess is one is a chair, and one is a cabinet of some kind?
ReplyDeletelooks awesome what ever it is, can't wait to see the finished pieces.
Yep, I can guess all three, but I won't spoil it for the rest. I just know you too well at this point.
ReplyDeleteKim, I like the finish so far. My guess would be your bedroom furniture??
ReplyDeleteI used Daps Spackel paste on the candlesticks. When dry you need to lightly sand and finish off with spray varnish or acrylic. This seals them and I had no problems with the spackel chipping off.
Hugs,
Sherry
Love the first one whatever it is! But are we gonna have to do an intervention here? Maybe you've been sniffing a little too much paint! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! Busy, busy gal! I'm just amazed at all you do! Well, I think one is a chair and then some kind of cabinet! Can't wait to see what and where! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteLove the new bathroom floor! Looks great. Did he have to take up the old floor or lay the new right on top?
He laid that right on top of the old floor. Easy peasy!
ReplyDeleteWow, I am impressed! I have at least 3 projects I need to do, and I haven't started any of them. It will be fun to see all your painting after you're done! :)
ReplyDeleteDoor. Frame. chair.

ReplyDeleteYour finishes are beautiful. Again, I have to say how "real" they look. Can't wait to see what you're up too.

OK, OK... the third looks like a chair, but the first picture...I LOVE THE WOOD WORK AND THE COLOR. Promise you will give the "how to's" in how to achieve this paint color and finish! Promise!

Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteI can so relate to the painting thing. When I have a new can of paint it's like I have to, have to find something to paint! LOL. Is there such a thing as a paint addiction!!LOL
And speaking of painting clothes....I think I have ruined more good clothes painting things.
But the end results are always wonderful. The first photo looks like a piece of furniture and the second is maybe a chair or bench.
hugs
Sissie
Kim, You're addicted to painting... LOL :)
ReplyDeleteYou're very talented.... can't wait to see the finished product.

Oh, the suspense is killing me....can't wait to see! I love everything you do!
ReplyDeleteI can not guess the first one but the second one I am pretty sure it is the bench in your living room area. You amaze me, when you feel the urge to paint a piece you just go for it. Can not wait for your reveal.
ReplyDeleteRoxanna
Beautiful work, Kim, as always! I'd say it's a chair or bench??? I wish I had your energy to get projects done! You're exhausting me LOL!!!

Seems blogger has a few kinks when someone has two blogs. You may need to unfollow and refollow under The Decorative Dreamer to get it to work right. Sooo sorry for the inconvienence! Uggh!
ReplyDeleteAs for your projects, I am guessing you are redoing a chair and a sideboard? However I think I am seeing a cabinet door there? Hmm???
It is addicting, isn't it. Lovely projects.
ReplyDeleteThe details are amazing and of course that makes it all the more fun to glaze. Can't wait to see, obviously a chair and some fun cabinet piece. I love them both. You must have soooo much energy!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see them!!! I know one is a cane chair but I can't remember where I saw it in your house unless it is the bench!! Not sure on the other pieces!
ReplyDeleteI need the motivation you have to get some projects done. I fight laziness all the time and procrastination. Probably more of a fear of failure! Once I get started I am fine so maybe today I will just start!!
It would be a good day since we just got 5 inches of snow and more on the way!
Looks like a chair to me! I wish I liked to paint. I'm just living vicariously through your painting projects.
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom floor looks great. So funny photo of your husband...mine would kill me!
Kim, this is looking fabulous, can't wait to see it!

You have so much energy and such a good eye for decorating, would you mind coming and helping me? Our supper club is coming in March and I need to decorate some more. You don't mind driving to Virginia do you? LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteKim, eventually you are going to open a shop don't you think? It is your passion.
ReplyDeleteKim, I need some of your energy....I've got painting projects backed up so bad I don't want to go downstairs. I love the finishes you're using. Come help please! :)
ReplyDeleteI promise to come visit you every day when you are in painter's rehab. Shall I bring you some Southern Comfort...cuz I know they won't let me sneak a paint brush in! I'm thinking those are some chairs there at the end...but then..I'm never sure WHAT you are up to! Hugs- Diana
