No, I am not revealing the dining room yet. Patience my friends. I am going to share another small change made in the dining room. With the new wall color I had to change the background color in the hutch. I know I know, but I had to soften the green I had in there.
This is the original green which was very bold.
This is the new softer color.
This is one of three different red transferware plates I purchased with my amazon gift card I won.
I will show you the other two soon.
I love the scenes on this plate.
This is one of my newer platters with these sweet little flowers.
The new color is Thyme Green by Sherwin Williams and is the same color I already used in the back of my bookcases in the great room.
I am loving the new look of this room.
Thanks for taking time to guess the color I chose. I got tickled at some of the choices. A few of you were correct. The reveal is coming soon!
Have an awesome week.

You breeze through projects like a soft tornado! Wow! I am so inspired by you with each new project.
ReplyDeleteI love the soft green backcloth you used. It makes your white and red transferware pop!
I think your silver flatware in the ironstone and other containers looks lovely. I just may use that idea with some of my odds and ends silver. So chic!
As usual, a delightful post, my friend!
Yvonne
This color is so pretty! Can't wait to see the reveal!
ReplyDeleteI really love that color Kim. I have to be honest I was not a fan of the green, it seemed bright, but I thought it was my monitor, because I have seen colors different on other posts. But now that I see the new green, I really love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the new color. It enhances everything in your hutch.
ReplyDeleteCindy

ReplyDeleteI have a very similar color in my kitchen and dining room by Sherwin Williams called rye green. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI really wish you'd come to my house with paintbrush in hand. You paint more in month than we do in 3 years! I am so behind around here...going to read backwards and see what you've been up to. Between the trip, my dad being here and having the little ones with a couple holidays squeezed in...I just gave up!
ReplyDeleteI love the plates ,I am crazy about toile patterns at the moment .

ReplyDeleteLove the green with that pitcher!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the reveal ~ everything you do is beautiful! I love the new green in the hutch although I did like the bolder green with the prior golden/yellow walls. Green has been a favorite color of mine for years. Where do you find the time, Kim to do all you do? Can't wait! Tammy

ReplyDeleteOh, the suspense...I do like the color of the interior of your china cabinet...You are fired up for this year!!! Wish I had your energy!!!
ReplyDeleteKim, you tease you! I love the toned-down green. It looks almost exactly like the color paint we have in the living room and my dining-turned-sewing room. Such a tranquil color...
ReplyDeleteBrenda

ReplyDeleteI am happy that you found my blog, and in that way I have found yours. I love your home!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are as very brave gal to paint bright colors. I am always so afraid of color, sticking with mostly shell white and light wheat.
They always say....it's only paint.... but someone has to do the painting...not that much fun.
I wish you a very happy and healthy New Year and happy PAINTING!!!!!
Warm wishes, Evi
PS. I love the plates with the farm scenes. Have some in white with black and yellow.

ohh, loving the little bit you have shown us...the color looks so soft and amazing~ can't wait for the reveal! Beautiful plates- love the red! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I know that color well! It's the color we're planning on painting our dining room! After seeing how lovely it looks on your hutch, I'm more convinced than ever, it looks so lovely! We used one of the darker colors, Rosemary, I think, on our living room a few years ago, and it is the most beautiful color, so soothing, no matter what the lighting is like. I don't think you can go wrong with any color on that palette!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it true that one change always leads to a string of others? LOL! The hutch is beautiful, Kim. The color and all of your wonderful collection of dishes and SILVER! =)
