After putting away all the Christmas stuff I usually like to put back different looks on table tops than what was there before. I added some things on the wall by the mirror in the foyer and changed up the vignette on top of the chest.
I added these red transferware plates and mixed my vintage roe deer antlers in.
Filled my silver champagne bucket with some dried florals, moss and a starfish.
Vintage leather books and a majolica plate.
I usually find these vintage antlers on ebay from an antique dealer in Austria.
You can see part of my sitting room in the mirror.
New lamp from Hobby Lobby purchased at 50% off. Love the shade.
Looks like the power will be staying on with this winter storm. Yay!
I know a lot of you are in this same system. Stay warm and stay in. I will be back Tuesday for the BTB party. Hope you will join this week.

I have been so busy that I still don't have all of my stuff packed away downstairs. I was going to do it tonight but I think it is going to be tomorrow now- Hugs- Diana

We already have 4-5" and are expecting the sleet/ice to start soon. :( Its already started in the county over from us. Got the candles and non-electricity essentials ready, just in case. Stay warm. Glad you haven't lost power Kim, and I love your foyer especially the transferware dishes... would you believe I still have boxes sitting around with Christmas stuff in them? It couldn't be helped though Mr. K and I went and bought a new camera then to Target and out to dinner at the Olive Garden, so it was a great day!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite item in this is the bird on the books! Oh, he is so pretty. That mirror is very nice in that spot, Kim. Stay warm!!
ReplyDeleteLooks good Kim. I need to look for antlers. I like your champagne bucket.
ReplyDelete-Rene
I love seeing that mirror, Kim! Great lamp, too! I love that shade. I tend to do that myself, maybe because there is usually just so much Christas decor out that it is nice to have a little space for awhile. I'm still putting things back together, which is okay; it gives me time to think about what I want to bring out and where I want to put it.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I just found your blog and I feel lucky! I love the mirror and the lamp shade. You put everything together beautifully!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm..... your vignette in your foyer looks very familiar! Hmmmm, alot like MINE! Ha! I have the mirror, plates, and antlers, same lamp and ice bucket on my chest. Hmmmmm, I guess great minds think alike. I've really enjoyed my new lamp. I think it is very well made. The shade is silk lined with a tag sewn in. I think your vignette turned out great. You'll be interested to know that I changed my color scheme back to the red and green from the blue. Yep, I was ready for yet another change. Ha!! Actually I kept some of my blue because I still like it. I hung my blue clock in my front sitting room and kept the blue, green and brown graphic pillows in there. They are too new and too pretty to pack away. I like them in there and I like the changes I made at least until I get another whim to change it again. Ha! I know we have the same genes. I needed to warm up the house since it was so cold, so I like the warmer colors and all the burlap. I redid my armoire with alot of natural things like antlers, baskets, and pinecones. Then threw in some books, and transferware and majolica. Like it! Being cooped up in the house is making me crazy. I keep looking for things to do!
ReplyDeleteHello Kim,
ReplyDeleteBoy you really have got the touch.
Everything looks so nice.
i love wall mounts.
yvonne

Oh, dear!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the foyer and I LOVE your new banner! Did you make it?
It is so YOU!
I have to winterize my foyer--dare i admit that I still have the Christmas decor up?
I can't take it down until, the snow melts (it;s ice now) and until we can back my hubby's car out of the garage because the storage boxes are in lofts above his car---ugh.
In the meantime, I am gathering all sorts of ideas from you!
HUGS!
Stay warm!
~Leslie
Ooops! Looks like I missed this one! What was I up to? Must have been playing in the snow...I'm so over it now! LOL! This looks great! I like that lampshade it is very cute. I just love this area everytime when you do a vignette because I think anything you do looks great in front of this mirror. I just adore this mirror! Hope you are having a great day!
