Finally decided to bundle up and walk outside to capture some snow shots since this doesn't normally happen around here. I may get cabin fever real soon since I can't drive on ice.
Yep, this southern girl has all the proper snow clothes since we went on a snowmobiling trip several years ago. I purchased these boots while in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and they keep my feet
toasty warm.
Now we have a mist falling and freezing on the branches, but it should stop later today.
Mr. Savvy went to work late this morning and what normally is a ten minute drive was a forty minute drive and he is the only one there for now.
My hotmail has been down all morning. Anyone else having this problem? If you have emailed me sorry for no response.
I will be back tonight for the BTB party link up!
Hope you will join me. Surely you have some new projects to share for the new year.
See ya then,
KIM
Pretty pics, Kim. You guys got a lot more than we did here in Middle Tennessee. A lot of ice is horrible for trees (not to mention power lines), but aren't branches coated in ice so pretty?
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to ask you something. Did you build the pond in your back yard or was it already there? From what I can tell it really is lovely. I love the concrete bench by it.
Stay warm, friend.
Oh...I can't BELEVE all the snow you have- you have as much as we do, I think. Stay safe and stay off the roads until they are cleared!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mr.Savvy will get lots done with noone there to bother him~ Have a great day- Diana
Wow Kim very pretty pics I am in awe at all that beautiful snow!
ReplyDeleteKim these are so beautiful but I'm sure a pain but wow such good photography makes it look like so much fun, love those boats, what do you use them twice a year?
ReplyDeleteKim, beautiful snow photos. Thanks for braving the cold to take some photos to share. There are lots of white plant blankets covering our garden, but no snow. Just really cold temps! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love it when it snows in the south and you can see the green leaves under the snow. Usually places that get a lot of snow have lost all of their foliage long before the snow hits. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos Kim! I really love the ones of your pond. I haven't ventured out as we have a 1/4 inch of ice on top of the snow. My daughter stayed overnight at work(she works in a hotel)and not sure when she can come home safely. Hope Mr. Savvy gets home safely!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I'm sad we didn't get any..it went just north of us! We had plenty of ice though...not as much fun as snow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! It's a treat to have snow every now and then, don't think I'd want it all winter :) Enjoy and stay warm!
ReplyDeletePretty scenes, Kim!
ReplyDeleteI don't drive on ice either. I have seen a lot of people try without success. Snow is one thing, ice is a whole 'nuther story.
Your pics are beautiful! I am so jealous ya'll got snow! We are just freezing in Florida!
ReplyDeleteLacy
Tyla, that is a natural spring fed pond that started out as a large puddle with tons of thicket and thorns around it and we had it enlarged.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the pond will overflow into the garage, but I know it is an illusion. Stay warm and I can't believe Mr. S could even get down your street.

ReplyDeleteSuch pretty photos! The snow is supposed to hit here (NJ) tonight so I am sure my kids won't have school tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! You really got quite a bit of snow too. I especially like the ones around your pond. I don't drive in this type of weather either and that's why I got out yesterday, I knew I was going to get cabin fever. We are still stuck here at home today so I'll be going on a walk again soon, it really does help. Brrr!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you mentioned that your Hotmail is down. Mine too! I thought it was just me. There is just a white screen...Speaking of white! Your winter wonderland is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and stay warm ok?
ReplyDeleteKim, your snow is beautiful! We're enjoying it here in East Tennessee, too -- but this Southern girl wouldn't want to live where we get it all the time! Would you?
ReplyDeleteI have the same garden bench!
ReplyDeleteLove those boots, Kim!! Snow always seems so serene and pure... at least until it starts to melt! Enjoy our unusual gift.
ReplyDeleteLove the pond images Kim. I just cannot bring myself to get out today. I tried yesterday but I was afraid the camera was going to get wet. I am getting cabin fever somewhat.
ReplyDeleteGreat to capture the photos, however, I am over the gray skies and cold and ice! Cute boots Kim!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS Pictures!
ReplyDeleteI hear we'll be getting dumped on sometime tonight! oh joy.
Your snow pictures are beautiful Kim. I don't have any boots! I just told Mr. Comforts that I need to get some.
ReplyDeleteI am venturing out today for my therapy, I hope the roads are in good shape here.
Hugs,
Penny
I'm impressed - not with your snow - but with those fabulous boots!!! Sally
ReplyDeleteEverything is so beautiful with the snow....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures. I love the snow! Your home and property is beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful! Stay warm! We are supposed to be getting our here in Upstate NY tomorrow. I'm really ready for Spring. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Kim. Brrr, makes me cold to look at!
ReplyDeleteCAS
Beautiful pictures. No snow here in Houston but cold, windy and beautiful blue skies. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteLovely snow pictures. It is snowing here, too. I have no place to go today, so I am loving it!
Ours is starting to melt. It never looked THAT good though!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Your photos are so beautiful, Kim! I love all that snow. It is a winter wonderland. Stay warm by your fire!
ReplyDeleteThose are great shots Kim! We are getting another major snowstorm that just started. Kids will probably be off from school tomorrow - yay!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Kim
I am loving the snow also but being in the house with 3 kids under 8 has been a challenge. We went out to WalMart yesterday since hubby was off also and what is normally a 10 minute drive took us about 25-30. I hope it gets better since we have to head to Charleston on Thursday for a funeral.
ReplyDeleteSo lovley! also I wish we had snow so I could have excuse for snow shoes like yours !
ReplyDelete~Sharon~
Your photos are very pretty. I love the pond :)
ReplyDeleteCan't believe all the snow! Beautiful snow photos...stay in and stay warm...Pat H
ReplyDeleteYour picture are gorgeous. I love to see it, but don't like to be out in it anymore. The picture of the pond is stunning. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteMommyblogger, that is sweet, but that is my husband's garage for restoring old cars.
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks so pretty, Kim. Although someparts of MS got some 2 days ago, we did not get any but it's cold! Brrrr!...Christine
ReplyDeleteLove the pix. I'm a little southwest of you in Woodstock where we got 5-6 inches.
ReplyDeleteLove those boots...what brand are they, if you don't mind me asking! Love your blog and check it everyday...your home and decorating style is awesome.
Kathi
It's pretty but I am over it! Caden is out of school tomorrow too.
ReplyDeleteKathi, the boots are by Merrill and I purchased them several years ago because the pair I took to Jackson Hole didn't keep my feet warm. These are insolated and waterproof.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Beautiful pics, Kim! Wow, you guys really did get a LOT of snow ... I'm envious!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I love the boots, too! Hope you've had a good day today! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteKim, you really captured some beautiful snow shots. I've been talking to my parents & can't believe how much snow you all got this time. We got ice & not much snow at all where I am & thankfully most of the ice is melted. It sure is some winter weather though, I'll be glad for some warmer weather soon.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness - you really did get hit!
ReplyDeleteI love the shot over the pond, towards the garage - so peaceful.
Lovely photos, Kim! Ice is far worse than snow...I pretty stay in if we have ice, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat GORGEOUS pictures, Kim! It has started here in Pa. Tomorrow I will try to get some pics from here. Love your boots too. And your little rabbit is almost BURIED:):) XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteThats some serious snow. Looks like you have an amazing yard!
ReplyDeleteLove your snow boots, Kim. I have a bit of a show fetish! LOL Glad you had them to venture out into your winter wonderland. This weather of ours is so unusual these days- On yukky, snowy, icy days I like to stay inside w/a hot cup of coffee. I've had to use the snow blower several times- whoever invented that sucker is my hero. I tore both my rotator cuffs while shoveling 6 years ago and one has never been the same. OUCH! All the workmen who see it in the garage think it belongs to the husband and they always tell me what a beast of a machine it is. Then I smile and say it is mine! I know they think I'm nuts. I always was a hardware girl!
ReplyDeleteStay warm, toots. ~ Sue
I love your boots, too cute and they look very comfy and warm! Have you tried the Fitflop boots? They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I am a Flight Attendant and think Jackson Hole is one of THE MOST beautiful places in the country!
