......here is the new and I hope improved wall.
I just took the pictures from other parts of the room and added a few more thousand holes in the wall until I had these all hung. This picture and the mate to this one were purchased from the Bombay Co. several years ago before they went out of business.
This pair of pictures were super cheap at Garden Ridge of all places several years ago.
This is the platter I ordered from ebay when I thought I was going to add it and two transferware plates to the wall above the picture before I made the gallery wall. I decided to use it here on the bookcase.
This is one of the plates that was going to be used. I love this brown transferware. Of course I had to find a new place to use these.
I placed them on this wall in place of two of the small pictures that moved to the gallery wall.
Here are some more shots from around the room while you are here.
I decided to place this vintage riding hat on top of a vintage spool.
The top picture is the one that was on the stairs where I showed you my new bicycle painting went. It had a black frame and I used rub n buff in antique gold and gold leaf and went over the black so that it would match the other frames.
This is what the room looks like in the morning with the sun pouring in. Also new pillow arrangement in this photo.
I really do love this gallery wall look now.
I am still having blog issues with my followers not showing on my end. If anyone knows how to help please let me know! I am not too computer savvy and this is driving me nuts.
Hope you have a great week!
Beautiful Kim! I love the hunt theme. Miss Bombay Co. Loving that new light fixture too!

ReplyDeleteKim,I am such a huge fan of your
ReplyDeleteblog...love everything you have done
in your BEAUTIFUL home. I liked all
the wall treatments (sitting room)
before, but you outdid yourself this
time.....perfection !!! I love how
you incorporated the hunt theme with
the wall grouping, pillows and the
riding boots/hat. How do you find
all these beautiful pieces that blend
so well(boots/hat/pillows)?
It turned out great!
ReplyDeleteYes this looks fantastic!! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the thousand holes in the wall! So glad to know I'm not the only one who does this!!!
My problem with blogger is the snipits of photos on my blog roll is not showing up. Only a few blogs pictures is showing. This started happening last week another blogger is having the same problem too.
Oh Kim, how I adore this room. I love all the wall art and your accessorizing is gorgeous. Of course, I love the furniture too! Well done!! XOXO ~Liz
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice comment. *smile*
Yes, you are finished, loving the gallery wall. The light fixture was the perfect choice for this room. I wouldn't change a thing. Now the big question.....where are the antlers?
ReplyDeleteYour gallery wall is just superb! I miss Bombay Company...I sure wish that the store was in business. They sold some fabulous things.
ReplyDeleteKim, I DO like your new wall gallery. It's balanced and fills in the wall space nicely. I also liked it when you had the antlers and S L wall sconces with plants.
ReplyDeletePlease keep posting new ideas for the book cases. For me, bookcases are always difficult to arrange and yours are always done well. Love the hunt theme. It's such a classic.
I remember that post....and I love what you did with the wall.....so pretty and perfect in the room!!
ReplyDeleteLove way this looks! You have such a beautiful home! Thank you for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful Kim!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes! That's it, Kim. I was never terribly fond of the sconces, but find that the collection of art is perfect - just enough 'weight' for that wall.
ReplyDeleteKim I love this room, it is just inviting and the vignette in your bookcase is stunning!! Such a pretty room,KS
ReplyDeleteThe room looks great Kim! I love the brown transferware!
ReplyDeleteKim, Love the new look of the gallery wall. Beautiful. The picture if the sun streaming through looks so pretty. Thanks for sharing. Karie
ReplyDeleteI love all your hunt scene items, Kim. I have been collecting them too but just don't know where to display them yet. I have been telling my hubby to build a man cave above the garage, lol. I like the grouping.....Christine

The French Hutch
The wall is gorgeous - very classic. I love this room!
ReplyDeletelove the room, especially the ottoman!!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to take a moment to comment. I knew you would stay with it until you got the look you wanted. I do feel that this is the best so far. The wall is so large that it really needed something big and the gallery does the trick. Love all the riding/hunt accessories. It really came together well. Hope you are doing well. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt looks really great! I adore your style!
ReplyDeleteKim! This looks great! I havn't read down through all of the comments, and maybe someone has already asked you this, but here goes...have you done a post on how you lined the backs of the shelves with burlap? I love how it looks and can't remember you writing about that. I need some pointers since I hate working with burlap..I'm thinking about some bulky lineny looking fabric would be just as good and not as stinky and scratchy! thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMarybeth, I did post that last year some time. All it is is foam core board covered in burlap and pushed into the back of the bookcase. They can be removed anytime.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great metamorphosis! Well done. Do you actually ride?
ReplyDeleteI am having a hilarious Linky party with prizes this Wednesday. Details are on the blog today.
I hope you'll join in on the fun.
Absolute perfection this time. It can be a struggle but it's so wonderful when we finally get it right and know it!
ReplyDeleteIt look great Kim.
ReplyDeleteI'm coming over just to sit! This was my invitation, right?
I have enjoyed the process of watching your wall evolve......the wall is large and handles the gallery well. I liked the antlers and sconces but think this is the best look so far for this wall. Thanks for letting us see that our homes are always in process and part of the fun is getting there.....who knows, next week you may think of another way to tweak it! I'll be watching.
ReplyDeleteThe room looks beautiful...cozy yet sophisticated! I am always so impressed with your decorating. Your rooms are so inspirational!
ReplyDeleteShelley
I love how you tied the whole theme of the room together, Kim! I also like that you have it "splashed" throughout the room and not just in one place. The gallery wall looks great and I think works well here. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteWhere did the antlers go?
The room looks great!
Looks absolutely perfect Kim. My favorite look yet!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
