I love your kitchen Kim but I am sure what ever you decide to do to it it will be beautiful! My fave kitchen is the one that appears to have green cabinets and wood beams on the ceiling. So very Frenchy!:) Have a wonderful weekend! Off to finish the laundry before the GPs arrive.
I have kitchens on my brain too! I swear, I could sit and look at pretty kitchen photos all. day. long! I'm in the process of getting quotes on painting my kitchen cabinets, so this post was very timely! Beautiful spaces!!
WOW! Really Kim? I can't wait to see it! I can't imagine it without your pretty green that everyone loves so. But whatever you come up with it will be DYNAMITE!
Well after looking at the first few I thought the answer was they all had an island. Then I saw the last few and decided its the painted cabinets, all are light colored.
I just got done painting my bathroom and vanity, all due to your inspiration of painting your furniture. I also mentioned to my husband about lightening up the kitchem, but my cherry cabinets are only about 3 years old. So I will have to do with painting the walls a lighter beige. Thanks for the inspiration :)
You are amazing. Where do you find the energy? When I looked at the photos my mind went to big spaces with a wonderful center island. We have a galley kitchen. It's very nice and efficient, but a big space would be nice. Enjoy the weekend. ~ Sarah
I recently painted our kitchen Benjamin Moore's Super White. I *love* it! Let us know what you pick out :D I love painting, and I have repainted every square inch of this house myself!!!
It's me again Kim. Just a thought, I recently painted my sitting/playroom over (never showed that room before)and I used Ben Moore "hush" I am so happy with it and I think you would really like it, it looks a lot like the color in the first photo. Very soft and neutral. I am actually thinking of using it in my dining room. Again just a thought. Martina
The fifth picture down is my favorite, love the black hanging lights and especially the black counter tops. No deciding back and forth for me that's exactly what I want:) Thanks for sharing these pics I know your kitchen walls will be just fabulous!
Nice post Kim. You have some kitchens I haven't seen before. I love that charming farmhouse sink with the skirt. My house is too new to be old farmhouse style, but I love how that looks. I guess you will be painting soon?
They are all very light & airy, you are very drawn to country style arent you, they are all very beautiful. you would think I would get bored with kitchens & bathrooms designing them all the time but Im still addicted 8 years on
Uh-oh- I see someone has run out of furniture to paint...onwards and upwards...test your ladder first-I wouldn't want to see you posed in a pile of paint cans. xxoo Diana
Light and bright is in your future!! You are like Eward scisors hands but with paint brush hands. Man, I wish I had your energy and talent to paint!!! You are amazing!! If you run out of rooms at your house and feel like a trip to Calif. I have lots of painting that needs doing. I promise some fun in the sun!!! KS
I thought they all had nice pendant light fixtures in common until the last 2 photos! lol! And yes, they are all neutral in color. I can't wait to see what you do with your kitchen! A coat of paint adds SO much!
Kim now I'm on the the kitchen, I had to paint it all the same color because my home is all open so the painting id done, working on my cabinets now I'm get ready to paint them....
i thought it was going tobe the lighting i love the one with the blue shades .i just repainted my kitchen from a sunflower color to a shade of white called banana cream and did beadboardin a lighter white .My kitchen is very small so it looks brighter now.I think the winter did us in .White seems to reflect light so well .well dont work to hard ha lol .I know it will be lovely what ever you come up with
Kim, no matter what you decide you kitchen will be dynamic. Our entire house is in shades of ivory, cream, etc., and I love it. Have fun, and I look forward to see what you decide. Peggy
Funny. When I looked at them I saw open spaces with Islands...but yes, there's color too.
I have kitchens on my mind lately too. I have been looking for ideas to try in mine-it is a galley kitchen in the interior, so no natural light (who BUILT this house!!
Sounds interesting! We painted our kitchen with Dunn Edwards 'Inside Passage' recommended by a friend. Its a creamy tan that kind of changes color as the light progresses during the day.
Aren't your kitchen inspiration picures gorrrrrgeous? I love the idea of bright, light kitchens. I bet yours will look great! I can't wait to see what changes you make!
... and, here, I was going to say awesome islands with great pendant lights/chandies over them. lol. I'm glad I was bitten by the lighter and brighter bug ... it seems contagious! *Becca*
