I used everything I had from other spots in the house and then added two new birds I found the other day at a local decor shop.
I love my new little birds. They have painted flowers on them.
I have one blue and one khaki colored bird.
This large urn from Pottery Barn was on top of the armoire in the master bedroom.
These white iron bowls were on the top shelf of the built in bookcases here beside the fireplace and I took them down and filled them with moss and ferns.
Brought this planter in from the dining room.
Purchased this large vase last year at a local shop and had it in storage for a while. I just go
to my hoarding bonus room and shop.
I am loving the touches of white.
Do you change your mantel for the seasons?
Thanks so much to all my new followers and as always thanks for your comments.
I do read each one. I just can't respond to all of them.
Have a super week!

Kim!Isn't it fun to shop the house? It's like getting new stuff for free! I make myself do that first before I go out searching for new finds, and most of the time, I have just what I need already! Your mantle looks fresh and clean, just like a spring day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kim! I usually just change my mantel for fall and then Christmas but now seeing all the inspiration here in blogland that just might change!!

I don't have a mantle, but I do have a shelf that I like to change out. Your mantle looks beautiful as always you do a great job decorating. Love the new little birds. Isn't it fun to shop the house for things you need in a display. Instead of calling it hoarding, I like to say it is being abundantly blessed with "stuff". Have a great day, Karie
ReplyDeleteKim, love the new look on the mantel. The white is all beautiful. Love the new birds also. Very pretty. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I am crazy about white....been working it into my decor for quite a while now. Love what you did to the mantel - looks fresh and clean! Linda

It seems I change my mantel up a bit whenever I get something new! lol!

It all looks so pretty. I love your big round mirror and it goes well with the open weave of the compotes too. You're ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteYes, I actually change my mantel every few months...and I chose white, green and touches of silver on my mantel. I'll post pics later if I get a chance!

Hi Kim, Your mantel has such a fresh clean "springlike" look to it now. Love the birds! Are your fern and moss plants the real deal or faux? They are lovely. You are a true inspiration. ~ Susie
ReplyDeleteKim, Beautiful Spring mantel! I love the all white look.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sherry
I love your mantel. I just decorated mine for spring and stuck with greens and neutrals as well. I have two little birds like yours (although mine are glazed and all white), but I don't know where they are. I wish I had space for a hoarding room. I'm going to take photos of my mantel tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe mantle looks so pretty Kim. I love the white vessels and birds. It's so great to shop the house isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteVery fresh and soft mantle. I love the little birds!
Yvonne
Love the weave pattern of the mirror frame and the footed pieces. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe mantel look great with the white chippy pieces. I especially like how the openwork pattern of the mirror is repeated in the little white urns with the ferns. Really pretty.
ReplyDeleteLooks great Kim! I love the iron planters and those birds are too cute! All very fresh and springy and elegant as usual! I do change my mantel up for the seasons and holidays.
ReplyDeleteKim, how utterly gorgeous! I just love your style, if I havn't told you already.
ReplyDeleteJust the right touch of pales, but traces of reds, and deep browns when needed, which means "southern style".
So inspiring, have a wonderful week, xoxo tami
Looks beautiful Kim!
ReplyDeleteI like to brighten it up with greens and yellows for spring nothing to bold our standoutish just little touches that lift the winter dreary. I really like the simplicty of your mantel, just my style!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy my savvy visits! Your mantle is simple and elegant. You did a great job as always!

I like those bowls you filled with ferns. The green against the white is so fresh and makes me think "Spring".
ReplyDeleteI love the lite, airy feel of your spring mantle. It has a clean, crisp look that's just perfect for this time of year!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great, Kim.
ReplyDeleteI love the thought that you have a
little "storage" spot for extra seasonal accessories.
I'd love to shop in there!
Your mantel looks lovely and very springy! I really like your birds--you'll find lots of places to use those, I'll bet.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad for it to be Daylight Savings Time! I'm ready for long, warm days! :)
Looks great Kim!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the hoarding bonus room!!
I wonder when Traditional HOmes or Southern Homes is going to showcase your home!!
Love the new look. Those birds are very sweet! I'm loving the white!!
ReplyDeleteLooks very fresh and bright. I wonder if I make my house look more like Spring if it will get warm and stay warm here. I'll give it a shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous mantle change. It is so pretty and fresh and it gives me hope that spring is on its way! I love the white and those birds are just adorable. Isn't it fun to have so many options to choose from?!

ReplyDeleteKim, I am loving all the white... and the birds... and the greenery! Warm weather and sunshine! That's what that signifies to me!! Yea!
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect for Spring, Kim - love those birds!
ReplyDeleteI am new to blogging, and yours is one of my favorites. You have a beautiful home and great taste in decorating. I love your new mantle arrangement. I checked back to one of your posts from last March, and noticed it was white then. I love the white, but the green (it's kind hard to tell from the picture)is beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteAll your whites look so fresh, Kim! I love how the greenery pops in it. I am with you ~ I am so ready for Spring and after a pretty nice weekend, it shouldn't be long now!
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty spring mantel, Kimbo. Everything looks amazing. You so have THE touch, girl.
ReplyDeletexoxo bj
Love your super fresh looking mantle Kim, looks like I will have to stalk your blog as I think I've missed a ton of stuff(did I miss the mantle color change???). :)
ReplyDeleteFreah and spring-y Kim!
ReplyDeletei just love shop at home :)it looks so refreshing those little birdies are the cutest ever:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I found those sweet little birds at Bed, Bath & Beyond, of all places. Mine are cream and a dull red...They read like a toile to me. I just love them and you've placed them beautifully!
ReplyDeleteLove the look! I'm really starting to like all the whites. I've found a couple things to go in the "new" kitchen. I have a shelf that I don't like attached to the cabinets, but I'm stuck with it. It has been a display for teapots...but with the dark countertop coming, I'm thinking some white items on it might be good.
ReplyDeleteI really love that jug? on the left side of your mantel and the birds are perfect.
I have a question for you since you are so into the painting. We are adding beadboard to the back side of our peninsula in the kitchen. I love it painted white for a cottage look, BUT this house isn't really cottage style although the woodwork and crown molding are white against the medium taupe walls. I think the beadboard, which will really just be the kick board under the bar should be the same taupe as the walls in this case so that it doesn't stand out. My husband seems to think it always should be white. Opinion?
Bright, fesh...good job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Fun how those little birds can give you so much inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove all that white, and especially those little ferns in the bowls, great touch!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. You have everything looking crisp and fresh. Perfect for Spring!
ReplyDeleteThis looks really lovely. You've inspired me to do something with my poor neglected mantles! Thanks for stopping by today!
ReplyDeleteLove the new "springy" look!! Everything is beautiful as always!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and serene at the same time.
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job!
Have a blessed week!

We have a 52 inch flat screen tv above our mantle so there isn't room to put anything. I have an orchid plant but nothing else. I have to say that I love that mirror that is hanging above your. Gorgeous!
