I did have it in the baby bed until I started keeping my granddaughter so now it sits in the little chair.
It has cute little bunny feet and bloomers.
And cute long bunny ears.
And a cute little bunny hat.
It even has a cute little baby bear to carry.
You can see all the spots that have developed over the last thirty two years on the fabric.
All those spots just make it that more special. My grandmother passed on many years ago and I am so glad I have this special bunny that she made just for me.
Happy Easter!
Kim
I love your bunny - I made some of those years ago, and now I wish I still have one. Seeing yours has made me miss mine :) Such a treasure from your Grandmother, thanks for sharing it with us.

I love the bunny. Because your grandma made it, because it has spots of old age like the rest of us, and because it brings a smile every time I see it at your house!

What a sweet bunny! As I get older, I'm starting to appreciate more and more sentimental things. I think that is what makes a home "rich". Layers and layers of meaning behind one's decor. I love that you leave her out all the time. :) Happy Easter sweet Kim. ~Crystal
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful treasured keepsake. I'm sure your grandmother would love that you still have her after all these years.

ReplyDeleteYour bunny is wondeful Kim! And I love it's story.
ReplyDeleteI made several bunnies similar to yours. I gave a pair of them to my mother. She kept them until she moved into assisted care living a year or two before her death. One of her g'children now has the bunnies.
It is so nice to have such a cute memory like that! I am sure your grandmother would be honored to know that you are sharing it with us today. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteNow I know why I've always felt like I should know you - I'm from (and still live in) Greensboro!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about the bunny. I have some things made by late grandmother and they mean the world to me.
Take care,
Suzy
