Well, I went back to the flea market that I went to a week ago and bought the two stools that I left behind the first time. I am glad they were still there. I am showing one of them today before I get a hold of it with some paint along with my other find, a vintage looking farm house style pitcher.
Don't you love it. It isn't old, but it looks old and that is good enough for me.
My eight dollar stool. Not bad this way, but I think I will be painting it.
Love the red checks around it. Perfect in my kitchen.
The pitcher was marked down from $32 to $20. Sold!
So have you done any junking lately?
Only problem with junking is that I need to clear out the stuff I don't need anymore.
Mr. Savvy doesn't understand why I bring in more stuff and get rid of the old. I don't know why.
I just do. I know I'm not alone.
Enjoy your week!
Kim
Love your new pitcher, Kimmie! Love the set up too!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
That pitcher looks so cute perched on that stool next to your aprons!
ReplyDeleteMr. M&M and Mr. Savvy should meet. They could commiserate with each other. I, too, bring stuff home from my thrifting trips and Mr. M&M just shakes his head.
When I do part with things, I take the nicer things to a consignment shop that a local church runs to support its mission projects. I get half and they get half. Now, when I go shopping there, I usually just use some of my accumulated earnings to pay for my new finds.
That's my favorite kind of recycling!
My husband does the same thing with clothes. Buys new ones, takes the old (er, not so old) to the Salvation Army. And starts all over again. Some good-looking clothes somebody's wearing out there, cause he gets bored quick! Love your finds!

Love your pitcher and the stool, what a perfect nook for them!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds :)
Your stool looks perfect where you placed it. It's as if it was made for the space!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it Kim!!! I just bought a (fake) vintage looking pitcher too (I like yours better than mine)...it looks wonderful on that $8 stool. Thanks for coming by my party:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
What a darling stool! It all looks perfect! I adore that french country look that you create so well.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo not alone! I'm finding and upcycling so many cool thrift store finds that I need a truck to take away all the old stuff. (that really isn't that old) I need to do a swap!
ReplyDeleteSusan
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteToo bad we can't all get together and swap out our "old" stuff. I recently redecorated with more ironstone and my silver pieces are now just sitting in the basement.
Love the pitcher you found and can't wait to see your painted stools.
Jane
No Kim you are certainly not alone, I do the same thing and my hubby don't get it either (men)! Great new finds love the stools! Martina
ReplyDeleteLove the pitcher and the stool, mom bought me one at Walmart and it was a blond wood, then I painted it black now it's white, I'd never get rid of it! I'm anxious to see what you do with yours:)
ReplyDeleteYes Kim, we have the same illness!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is why I sell on consignment now! Thankfully Joe is just as bad about thrifting as I am. He found a five hundred dollar set of tools for five dollars last week and just had to get a fifty dollar battery for them. Not bad.
ReplyDeleteThe stool and pitcher look perfect in that corner, Kim! I haven't gone anywhere recently, which is probably for the best anyway! : )
ReplyDeleteThat little pitcher is perfect in your kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI know that stool is going to get an whole new look when you get started.
hugs
Sissie
What a cute pitcher! I love the stools! I have several boxes of items to take to the thrift store. Of course I will have to 'look' while I am there...
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
I think that all men are alike when it comes to shopping. Why do you need......
ReplyDeleteThat pitcher is adorable. Great score on those stools.
I know for a fact that I have to get rid of the old stuff, I don't have any room left for the new!
ReplyDeleteThe pitcher is cute! I love the farmhouse look. And it looks great sitting on your new {!} stool!
Have a great week!
XO,
Jane
I need that stool. Well hubby does out by his potting table. I love watching your house transformed.
ReplyDeleteLove the stool and the pitcher! And you know what? I have that exact same rooster apron in the background! We have so many things alike.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Hi Kim, great bargains! I am sad that I didn't keep my MIL's stool when we were having an estate sale. Just had so much stuff and so little room....but now, seeing yours, I'm a little sad. Anyway, would love to come Satuday, but we will have the grandies arriving Friday night, and I just can't up and leave them Saturday morning. I will hope that the next get-together will work out for me. Linda
ReplyDeleteKim, Really cute pitcher! I've been reading your blog long enough to know that those barstools will have a coat of paint or two on them before the end of the week!! I am trying to get rid of some old things and making an effort to be very selective of what I bring home these days. There's only so much room so, I am keeping things that I really love... it's so hard.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Lisa
Wow, I have some catching up to do here, Kim! This pitcher is so cute & is so perfect in your kitchen. Can't wait to see what you do with the stool.
ReplyDeleteYou must have really enjoyed having your daughter & granddaughter for Easter. Little Leila is so adorable.
I think it's so great that you have the bunny that your grandmother made. I love that kind of family history.
Your verbena is so gorgeous. We have a different type that is extremely prolific here & grows into these giant bushes. They are also very thorny, but then everything has thorns in the desert. I'm going to see if I can find a different variety.

Honestly...it's perfection! And I love that you didn't pay an arm and a leg for it. They sell for a lot , the old ones and the look is the same, Kim, well done. xxx
ReplyDeleteawesome finds kim!! my dad has another demijohn I noticed. If you want it let me know!!
ReplyDeleteKim, Let me know next time you have a "clear out".. I'll be right over.lol

Babs
Oooh, I love that pitcher! I'll have to find one to try and recreate that.
ReplyDeleteThe stools and cute white pitcher were great shipping finds! I'm sure you'll pick a darling color for the stools. Looking forward to their transformation! ~Susie
ReplyDeleteKim that pitcher looks perfect on your stool and it fits perfectly in that corner. It was meant to come home with you!!! Kathysue
ReplyDeleteHello Kim! Great finds! I love the pitcher and the blue kettle in the picture too. Luck you because you were able to buy the stools. It was meant to be! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYou???? Paint the stool????? I can't believe it!!! Ha!! Love the pitcher! It is perfect in there. Hope you had a wonderful Easter!
ReplyDeleteCute farmhouse styled pitcher and stool! I'd snatch that up @ $20, too. Looks perfect in your kitchen. Spring is a great time to change things out. My hubby rarely notices anymore, haha!
ReplyDeleteHave a great night! :)
Hi Kim, I just know you will have those stools looking beautiful in no time. I love the pitcher and it is perfect for your kitchen.

Darling pitcher! I love the checks too! Looks fab in your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with the stools. And that pitcher is adorable.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you found the perfect little spot for both of them. I think Mr Savvy needs to bring you some flowers to fill up that pitcher ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that stool...but that pitcher makes my heart beat a little faster.
ReplyDeletexo bj
Oh Kim...I am SO sure you are not alone! My husband has been asking that very question for 20 years.....silly man.
ReplyDeleteLove your finds!
No darlin your not along and neither is Mr. Savvy, he's in good company with all of the other misters that endure endless hours of junk'n with their sweetie's. I am blessed as my mister is just about as bad as me...imagine our over stuffed nest!
ReplyDeleteLove your finds! what color are ya painting the stools?

ReplyDeleteyour kitchen rug is super cute too, as is the rest of the kitchen!!
The stool looks charmingly old and the pitcher is perfect! Have you ever thought about holding an on-line "yard sale" or auction for your best blogging buddies? :) Hugs, Kim
ReplyDeleteLove the pitcher! It is perfect in your kitchen. I can't wait to see the stools when you are done with them. I think I'm going to have to have a sale (garage sale) in a few months. I like the joy of the hunt...but, I also need to get rid of some things. I think I'll slowly go through things this summer and have a sale in the fall. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim~
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds!! I am loving them all...flea markets are the best! Happy to be a new follower of your lovely blog. :)
