This is the picture of the vase that I ordered on the website since I forgot to take a picture before I started filling it with flowers. Isn't this neat? It is actually a blogger that sells these. Mary Ann of Verbena Cottage has a shop on her blog now. I just discovered it the other day and when I saw this I had to have it.
It just happens that the only flowers I have in my yard right now is verbena. How appropriate since the vase is from Verbena Cottage Shop.
I planted these flowers last August and they have gone crazy this year.
I just love how this vase looks old and worn on the metal and handles and it comes with the flower frog for easy arranging.
Now I want to see what you have to wow us with!
Post edit: it looks like that vase is sold out. I don't even see it on her site anymore and another blogger said she believes she purchased the last one. Farmhousewares.com on my sidebar has one like it that has three sections. Here is the link farmhousewares.com
Just found a vase just like mine at this website and it is cheaper, too. http://www.timeless-settings.com/home-decor/decorative-accents.html.

Kim, the verbena is a gorgeous color. Isn't it a good feeling to be able to go out to one's garden and snip a few blooms to bring into the house? That's a great idea for a vase. I have some vintage jars with flower frog lids that are similar. I'll check out Verbena Cottage. ~ Sarah

ReplyDeleteWow Kim, you started an avalanche of demands for that vase. It is so unusual, antique-looking, and useful! Wish I could get one. They seem to be sold out in both places. Linda
ReplyDeleteI love your vase...it is perfect for any wildflowers that you might have growing. Your verbena color is so vibrant...gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the cutest things! I just ordered one. I'm going to send a picture to my sister to see if she wants one. Her birthday is Monday.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting. I'm not linking up this week...busy!
Hi Kim, craziest thing! I checked Timless-settings and they were "out of stock". For some reason, in checking around the same site, they came up with "add to cart", so I did. I ordered it, got a confirmation email, and a fedex saying it had been shipped from Athens, Ga and would be here TOMORROW - go figure! I am so excited - it's such a handy and charming piece - with flowers OR empty. The shipping is about $6, so the ebay price shipping would be better, but, hey, I'm just happy that the "out of stock" item suddenly became "in stock". Thanks for following up. Linda
ReplyDeleteOh this is my kind of vase Kim!!
ReplyDeleteI love the frog style top which is great for keeping stems in place!
Your verbena is the most beautiful color.... nice photos!
