First I washed the drop cloth and then assembled my paints in a work area on the driveway. Then I just used a separate paint stir stick with each can of paint. I dipped the stick in one color at a time and then just slung it or let it drip on the cloth till I had the look I wanted. Easy peasy.
I'm not Pollock, but close. Maybe I have a future as an abstract artist. Not!
I used paints I had on hand so the only cost was the five dollar small drop cloth.
Almost forgot the blue I used. I did buy this sample size of Glidden for the blue.
More of the deck reveal tomorrow night for the party.
Hope you will join us for the summer blog party this week. I am joining Kristin at Uncommon Slice of Suburbia to share our drop cloth projects. There are prizes all week for those who join so get those projects done and link them up to this huge blog party.

Also joining A Stroll thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday since this is a table topper.
I don't want to miss Marty's party.
Come back tomorrow night for the summer decks and porches party!!
Old or new posts are welcome and this is in place of the regular Wow Us Wednesdays party.
We will get back to that party next week.
We will get back to that party next week.
Sorry I have been absent commenting. We got in late last night and I did not take the laptop with me. Trying to catch up plus doing laundry and still getting ready for the party tomorrow night.

I am getting pretty excited about seeing your porch makeover. I will probably have to wait until the fall porch party :) With everything going on at my house this spring my outside area was severely neglected!

ReplyDeleteI love this idea Kim! Something like this would work great for the lake deck, when we use the long folding table out there, during summer. Will keep this in mind.
