This is what you see when you step in her room.
This is looking back towards the hall. Now let's look at the details.
One more look at the view from the door.

Beautiful bedroom! Goes with the rest of the house. Comfortable and welcoming. We don't have a tv in our bedroom either, Kim. Much to hubby's dismay. LOL! blessings ~tanna
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty room to rest, relax and sleep in! I love the little chest and her footstools!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and calming, Kim. I love the canopy and her window treatments. We have a television in our bedroom and I'm not sure it is such a good idea. I went from not being able to fall asleep with it on {if hubby was watching the end of something before we went to bed} to only being able to fall asleep with it on. I think we need to reverse that when we move!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous masterbedroom retreat. Looks like she made some changes from the RMS days. All wonderful. What a flair for decorating you girls have!
ReplyDeleteLovely room. You and your sister both have such great taste!
ReplyDeleteI’ve just stumbled upon your lovely blog. I look forward to popping by again for some more inspiration! I'm just new into blogging this year & have put together a daily blog on design, fashion, food, travel and anything pretty.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful room. The bed looks great.
ReplyDeleteRegards from Sweden
Thanks Kim! I've been trying to figure out how to make my tv look less imposing on our dresser, and I love they way your sis has kind of softened the way hers looks with the books on each side. My bedroom has me stumped for sure and I think I will start with her idea. Now if I can just convince my hubby to let me paint our dresser black!!!!
ReplyDeletePretty room! I especially like the painted chest to the left of the bed. In 42 years of marriage, we have never had a TV in the master. Don't think we'll add one. Linda
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful master bedroom. I love the gathered over time look your sister has created...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Your sister has a beautiful home. I love the master. So well put together. Is that a white throw or matlesse at the foot of the bed? It looks gorgeous with the scalloped edge. Fondly, Susie

Love the footstools especially. Also the bedding. I am not a fan of tv's in bedrooms but I know many people have them there.

So lovely! I'm surprised you didn't try to steal her rooster pillow off her chair.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE her bedside dresser! She really has a great sense of style, Kim! xo Diana
What a beautiful room. I love the big dark chest of drawers. It owns that side of the room. So pretty to have the contrast with the lighter colors. Thanks for linking it up to Home Sweet Home!

ReplyDeleteBrenda
Beautiful master! What a nice place to retreat and relax.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim...
ReplyDeleteOooh...your sister's master really is beautiful! I'm like...could just curl up in that big ol' fluffy bed or the chair and read a good book! Your sister has a great sense of design style and I have thoroughly enjoyed the tour of her beautiful home! I do believe that interior design talent...runs in the family!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
What a beautiful room! I love the leopard/cheetah print stool and the crown used as a bookend. Thanks for giving us the grand tour!
ReplyDeleteJust like the rest of her home, this room is absolutely stunning. I love all the details, but especially the roster fabric pillow, and the black painted cabinet her TV sits upon. I realized that something as unsightly as a TV doesn't look as bad when it sits on a pretty piece of furniture. LOL Blessings, Barb
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if your sis started a blog, I always enjoy looking at her beautiful home! Martina
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and cozy master bedroom! It is so full of charm and it is fun to see how you and she have similar yet distinct styles. It would be so fun if she started a blog too...you know how we love blogging sisters! LOL! Thanks for sharing at Inspiration Friday Kim!

I just wanted to crawl into that bed and stay there. What a gorgeous room.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I cannot imagine what would happen to that bed when my 160 lb mastiff/newfoundland mix jumped on that white eyelet. But so beautiful! Makes me just want to jump in and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI just love her floral chair and the rooster pillow!
ReplyDeleteSuch a welcoming room....it is just fabulous!! I love everything..especially the little leopard stool..darling. Tell that sister to join us and start blogging.

It totally softens the hard lines of the big black bed.......which i love that too. The black furniture is so pretty.
