While I was cleaning the other day I spied these creations on my chandelier in the breakfast room.
Not the type of embellishments I need added to my chandy.
I have also found them on lamps. At night when I turn them off there is nothing there and then the next day there are webs. Ewwww.
I know Halloween is next month, but I don't decorate with webs then either. Real or fake.
I wish these little web makers would just move on.
Miss Bailey thanks you for the well wishes. She is much better now.
The web fairies visit me far more often than I would like also.. Sneaky lil thangs:)
ReplyDeletecongrats on being visited by such a generous fairy..
LOL...I noticed I am getting webs all over too!~ Congrats on the win..we can still wish and hope for the economy to turn around soon. Have a good day Kim!
ReplyDeleteAmen on the webs! I hate them and they are showing up EVERYWHERE! Gee...can't wait until they hit my twiggy chandelier. Boy will that be fun to clean!
ReplyDeleteThen I must have Halloween year round. Every time I bring flowers in from the garden my husband swears that they have a spider in them.lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win. I didn't know there was a Fairy in blogland, that is truly neat!
Sherry
I found one of those webs last week and then I started looking at all my lamps and ceiling fixtures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and win, Kim! I'm always shopping on Amazon because I have the Visa Amazon rewards card. My wish is that our move goes smoothly - for both my daughter and myself; that my son, who is 21, will manage on his own in his first apartment. I think that is what has me the most concerned right now.
Being an "old wife", I have heard many "old wives tales"...one of them is, the abundance/thickness of cobwebs determines what kind of winter we will have. We are seeing them pop up everywhere here, overnight. According to the "old husband"...we are going to have a bad winter. I don't think he uses the cobweb theory...he just feels we are in for it this year.:-)
ReplyDeleteI have heard of the Fairy Hobmother but never made a wish. I will go over now and make my wish, as soon as I leave here.
Back again with my wish.
ReplyDeleteGoing along with my previous comment and the old wives tales...my wish is for a lovely winter, mild or otherwise.:-)
my wish is that the radiation I'm undergoing actually works and the cancer in my abdomen never comes back, there or anywhere else!
ReplyDeleteMy wish is that my washing machine doesn't get any worse. I mean, I could replace it, but I really dont want to drop that kind of money on a washer that's only 4 years old. After it fills with water, it stops, I so have to give it a few good whacks with on the top and it starts back up again. SERIOUSLY.
ReplyDeleteWe're in the South and have seen the webs worse than normal. The bug man says it is due to the extreme heat and dryness this summer and the spiders are headed indoors....I'm sick of it. BTW, the link you mentioned takes us to an appliance site....that doesn't seem correct.
ReplyDeleteBut I will say I am wishing for a sewing studio...it will never happen..
That happened to me, too! When I came home from a trip, the entire laundry room what covered in cobwebs like some fun-house, halloween exhibit. It never happened again - so far!
ReplyDeleteWeird!
Hi, Kim. Great post. yes, those webs pop up in our home, too. maybe they feel fall in the air and are coming in to get warmer for winter? Hmmm. My wish would be for my daughter's chronic bladder disease to be healed by our Lord and stop causing her daily pain.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how busy those little spiders can be overnight creating their webs. We had one outside, underneath our deck, that really was very pretty (that's where I'd like to keep them). I tried to get a picture but the camera just wouldn't focus on the web.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. on the Fairy Hobmother, how fun is that!
Jane
Living in the woods, I have way too many cobwebs! Maybe that should be my wish-to rid my home of the webs! LOL I visited the link-should I wish for a replacement refrigerator?! I tried to bribe the repairman but he worked magic once again.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your gift!
It is an appliance site. Smart way of advertising, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI didn't read the title to this post at first and just saw the picture and thought, I wonder if Kim knows there are spider webs on her chandie! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have seen the Fairy Hobmother all over blog land. She is sooo generous! Congrats on getting the Amazon card.
I wish I could buy some new pot holders and kitchen towels for my kitchen. It seems that those old pot holders are always the last thing to get replaced!
Hugs,
Penny
I am so afraid of spiders all this talk of them has given me the hebee-geebees ! I find some big ones every once in awhile and yell for someone to come get it. If the hobmother is listening to my comment ...I wish for more energy to do all that needs to be done around here !...and some new oil paints to distract me from the work I was just thinking I need to get done.
ReplyDeletesjn, we certainly hope it works, too. We will keep you in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteThose little web makers are busy and can make a web appear like magic! Making more work for us! How nice that the Fairy Hobmother visited you! My wish is a job for my friend and good health for me!
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is where all those little spiders come from and how they get into the house! It's embarrassing to turn on the lights and see those darn webs- but guess we all have them at one time or another, right? With all the action going on in my backyard, I now have cobwebs AND dust bunnies! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am afraid I have the same little web makes around here. Why do they like to decorate the light fixture right over the dining room table and the show themselves when you are sitting down to dine.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim~
ReplyDeleteyep the webmakers are way out here in Denver too..
maybe the Fairy Hobmother will visit me!
wishing for a job!
a paying full time job..
in the meantime will continue
de-cluttering,
de-crapifying,
and organizing..
congrats on your win!
warm hugs..
Loui♥
You know what I wish for... to not see the words "wood product" when looking for furniture. Or finding "wood product" furniture at EVERY thrift store. Does quality not count anymore?
ReplyDeleteThe spider webs are nothing compared to the fluff that I collect on my windows that are 25ft up. (have to wait for the hubby to bring in the ol 100lb ladder to reach them:) )
They are here at my house too!
ReplyDeleteEvery now and then I find one that is so big, I think it must have been spun overnight bc HOW could I have missed it the day before!!!???
xx
A
Congrats on your win!
Have never heard of that fairy!
Okay, Now I know I'm not going crazy...Well...Hee,hee,hee. These little webs do appear over night. I too have these mysterious little webmakers that only come out at night :-) Wishing you a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Kisses,
♥Ana
Those webs, I feel better now knowing yours just appear even minutes after you know they were not there! Whew! I'll head over and visit the Fairy Hobmother, sounds fascinating!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Nancy
It must always be Halloween at my house as those webs seem to always be present no mater how hard I try to keep after them.
ReplyDeleteSpiders and spiderwebs - they're popping up all over - what gets me is when you walk outdoors into one -so, usually I follow my husband and use him as a shield!
ReplyDeleteMy wish - gracious - that my son-in-law will be protected while in Afghanistan and return to us in good spirits! Secondly - can I have one :)
A beautiful cool Autumn for all!
Congratulations on your gift card - just love Amazon!
Hugs,
Kathy
How about getting up in the morning and walking through one on the way to the bathroom! Every time I bring some flowers in from the garden, no matter how hard I shake to get the critters off them, there is still one or two hanging on! I gotta get over to visit the FH!
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for a job. I lost my job 10 months ago and being a single girl, it has been rough. By the way....love the name Fairy Hobmother...how cute is that?! Hugs, Genah
ReplyDeleteWe have year 'round web makers :( Such a bummer. My wish is for America to find its way through these tough times and come out the other end better for it.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed some myself around the house. Guess some Fall cleaning is in my future!! Love that Fairy Hobmother sprinkles surprises all over blogland! My wish is for some new kitchen cabinets and countertops!!! Mine are sooooooo old.......Enjoy these cooler days Kim!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I would love a visit from the Fairy Hobmother!
ReplyDeleteMy wish (and it may sound crazy to those of you affected by flooding) is for some RAIN in Texas! We need it desperately!
My wish is that I wouldn't have any spider webs either and that someone would sweep in and clean and organize my house asap. But, an amazon.com card is good, too! Glad your little sweetie is better!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your visit from the Fairy Hobmother!! I would love for a cure for cancer or at least a better treatment for it other than chemo.
ReplyDeleteI got an email from them the other day and forgot about it!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I am so glad to know I am not the only one that has cobwebs springing up everywhere!! My wish is to find a better job!! Deb chedeb5353@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteTricky way of advertising ;) Since I am not in need of anything I would wish that all the other people who have made wishes on here have them come true! The people with Cancer, children with illnesses or people in tough times really do need the wishes, I hope they do come true for them.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Rachel :)
I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one this happens too. It's just the strangest thing!

ReplyDeleteOk I did make a wish before and deleted it because my wish is for RAIN IN TEXAS and any other state dealing with this drought and wildfires! My prayers are to those who have lost their homes in Bastrop and Magnolia!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was a bad housekeeper, but I'm glad to hear that everyone else has some webs, too! Congrats on the $50 card. My wish is for no one to go hungry, especially children. I'm probably thinking about this right now because I'm hungry. I'm on a diet! Thanks for warning me about not giving Pepto to cats. I had no idea.
ReplyDeleteHappy I am not the only one with 'cobwebs'! Sounds like we are all in good company! ;~P
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be that I could visit my daughter in N.Y. State (I live in WA.State)I have gone to visit here for several years on her birthday, but it won't happen this year.:~{
Hoping next year is better for all of us!
The Fairy hobmother is making lots of visits in our happy blog world! I had a visit, too and nice sweet compliments on my blog! It's just the best feeling! ♥
ReplyDeleteWe've been getting those little cobwebs everywhere, too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the visit from the Fairy Hobmother!
My wish is for the forecasted rain to miss us this weekend, and for the river water to recede quickly. I know too many people with flooded homes right now.
Dear Fairy Hobmother,
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for my car repairs not to be through the roof. My car is sick and going in for a new fuel injection system tomorrow!
PS, this is the first time I've heard of you, I hope you're real!
Can't stand spiders either- ugh. I know..I know..some find them beautiful but I am not amongst those! Living by the bay we could grow them and sell them...and I know someone will take me to task for it...but we have our house sprayed in the Spring and in the Fall...presto..bango..NOOOO spiders!
ReplyDeleteI am going to go visit the Hob! xo Diana
I sucked up more with my vacuum today! Thanks for the mention :) I keep meaning to go and spray outside by the fireplace to see if it helps.
ReplyDeleteCongrat on your gift from the Fariy Hobmother. How great! I wish for rain for Texas and some sunshine for up north! We're doing pretty good here in FL. Knock on wood!
I would rather deal with the webs than see the spiders!
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for the project that my husband has been working on for over 2 years will come to fruition and he will finally get a pay day!
Cobwebs seem to just appear overnight. I wish the Fairy Hobmother would make them all disappear for good!
ReplyDeleteDanielle
I haven't seen any webs yet... but in the last few days I've seen several tiny little spiders... so I'm sure the webs are only a matter of time. LOL
ReplyDeleteLet's see.... I wish for some Annie Sloan chalk paint. I've been dying to try it.
Oh Kim, I feel ya on the cobwebs! We have black widows who have taken residence outside, and even we've even found a few inside! No spiders are welcome in the home :) I hope yours leave your chandy alone!
ReplyDeletewith the dew in the mornings you see webs all over the grass and pretty ones spun overnite on the deck. Walking though one is awful...yuk...pluh! I wish for beautiful weather on the 24th or one of those refrigerators on that appliance page. :) Happy Friday xo
ReplyDeleteOH.MY. STARS! The cobwebs at my house are crazy too! Of course I always notice them right in the middle of hosting a party at my house! And I don't know about you, but the spiders have invited the ants to my house too! How can a tiny ant in my backyard smell a drop of toothpaste on the counter of my upstairs bathroom? And why does he feel the need to bring all his friends? Maybe next time he could bring the Fairy Hobmother with him along with a new washing machine, since mine is making a horrible noise and leaking water all over my laundry room! :(
ReplyDeleteCobwebs? I've just come to love 'em cause I surely can't fight them!
ReplyDeleteMy only wish is that I will continue to dream my many dreams because I'm a believer that someday they'll all come true!
we're having a ton of cobwebs everywhere too! and ladybugs.
ReplyDeletei've heard of the fairy hobmother but have never commented... my wish would be to feel better, because i've been sick this week. :(
I have a few of those as well! Thank the Lord for swifter!:) And if the Fairy Hobmother is listening I would love a toaster oven!
ReplyDeleteFairies are always so gracious and great :) Fairy Hobmother, if you are listening... please visit all our blogs. I know I am being greedy but aren't you Fairies used to such big demands :D
ReplyDeleteAnother wish of mine would be happiness and tension-free life for my MIL.
