Normally I would start sharing pictures of the decorations in the foyer first, but the link parties dictated everything in a different order. So let's take a look at what I did in the foyer this year. Still using pine cones, greenery, and candles to create a rustic vignette.
Come on in.
Cloudy and cold and this is how it looks inside today.
I filled this wicker tray, that normally is on the coffee table in the great room, with fresh greenery, pine cones, antlers, a candle and my tall carolers that I bought a couple of years ago to create this vignette on the chest in the foyer.
Like my new lantern from Ballard Designs? I have been wanting one and they finally went on sale a few weeks ago. I love the vintage gas lantern look of this lantern.
Huge pillar candle holder on the other side of the chest topped with a small wreath and a large candle.
The stairs are decorated with real white pine garland that is not going to make it till Christmas and this vintage style felt stocking that I found at the antique store. I love this old fashioned style stocking.
Filled it with traditional candy canes, a decorative candy cane, and some old fashioned Pez candies.
This is a sparkly swag that hangs on the front door on the inside.
Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!
See you tonight for Wow!

Very welcoming foyer. Your carolers are so cute. Very unique. Your Christmas tree looks so nice against the wood flooring. Also.. I love your lantern. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how you can see your tree when you walk in. It's the exact same spot I have my tree. I never hung my mirror! Hubby thinks it'll leave huge holes in the wall and that's not good when we get ready to move in a few months. I still swoon over yours every time I see it.
ReplyDeleteThe colors on that foyer dresser look wonderful together. The lantern just sets it off beautifully. Do you mind? What setting do you use to get the close up for the greenery with the blurred tree in the background?
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen those carolers!... love how you displayed them.
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful. You are very creative and thanks for sharing your space.
ReplyDeleteMy fav is the greenery on the door - so light and feathery!
ReplyDeleteThose carolers are wonderful Kim. Your foyer says welcome!
ReplyDeleteI bet your house smells soooooo good with the fragrance of the pine. The carolers are really very special. I haven't put any fresh greens out yet inside. Waiting until next week to do that. Have a wonderful day Kim :)
ReplyDeleteI think the bling of last year went out and came back with rustic this year! We all seem to have gone that way, Kim. :-) Your carolers are sweet and look nice on the foyer table along with your antlers and greenery. My own boxwood and cut greens are looking a little dry. And I still say that greens don't smell like they did when I was a kid! LOL
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a set of those carolers. Such lovely pieces you have too!
ReplyDeleteVery beautifule! I love that stocking..it make me want to make one!
