Ten books by Karl May, a German author noted mainly for adventure novels set in the American wild west. Found this info on Wikipedia. I bought them because they will look nice on my shelves.
These old olive buckets have been quite popular this year. I was in the booth where I purchased antlers last month and he had three olive buckets in a stack. I asked him how much and he said $55 which is a really good price around here. Then he was so nice and told me there was a guy outside selling them for $40 each. He then said he had his really to hold his antlers in so I don't think he was really wanting to sell them, but would have.
Saw this demijohn last month and passed it up. This time I bought it. It was a very good deal at $60. It is huge and old and worn.
Love the unusual trim at the top.
Oh yea, and I also got the wonderful grain sack for $36 which is a steal.
I also purchased one more thing, but you will have to wait until I get it in place.
I will show all these things in place, too eventually.
Hope y'all have the best week. Mr. Savvy is returning to work part time.
Can you say hip hip hooray!!
Giveaway still going on here. Don't miss out!

I live in Atl and have yet to visit Scott's... we always seem to have plans those weekends. Maybe this will finally motivate me! can't wait to see what you do with the goods!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Kim. The binding on those books is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteHip! Hip! Hooray! for you! You found some amazing bargains, Kim. OK, I was clueless about the olive buckets until you showed them. Someday I'm going to visit Scott's, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat loot, Kim! Wish I lived closer... I would definitely join you for Scott's trip :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that olive bucket! Did you know that Ballards is selling them now? I was surprised. They're actually the real thing too. That's good for anyone having trouble finding them. Glad you were able to make it to Scott's this weekend. You definitely scored some great deals!
ReplyDeleteGreat loot Kim! Glad Mr. Savvy is well enough to go back to work part time :)
ReplyDeleteSome wonderful finds, Kim. I'm just having trouble focusing because I'm just in awe of your creamware in the background. Love it against the blue/green color.
ReplyDeleteYou found some gorgeous goodies. The books are my favourite find!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha in Oz
Love all of your finds!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteGood to hear Mr. Savvy is feeling better to go back to work.Sounds like that makes you happy too ;-)
Great,amazing finds!!!LOVE it all!!!!
Anne
Kim, what wonderful treasures! Can't wait to see how you use them all!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous. When I was in Atlanta most of the time I shopped Scott's by myself. I didn't mind one bit. I would meet the most interesting people and then I could shop as long as I wanted too. None of my friends were in to it. I used to so look forward to it each month. The flea market here used to be pretty good but nothing compared to Scott's. But in recent years it's gotten much smaller.
ReplyDeleteYou did it! Awesome finds, Kim. Loving the galvanized piece.
ReplyDeleteI missed Scott's this weekend :( Haven't been able to go for a while...maybe next month! Have you been down to Woodbury, GA yet? There are some nice antique stores there. That's about ALL there is in Woodbury! High Cotton is the biggest. They have 3 stores in Woodbury...all within a block of each other. I rent space in a smaller store there called Feather Your Nest. It's a good day trip. It's not too far from Warm Springs which also has some nice shops. If you go there via GA Hwy 85 South, you will pass through Fayetteville right by some other antique stores. If you ever go, let me know and I'll fill you in on the shops and where to have a good lunch!
ReplyDeleteI did not know that was an olive bucket, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove all your finds Kim and congrats on making the trip on your own!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I wish we could have a Southern bloggers convention, and this ole Yankee girl will fly or drive on down! I would like to visit these wonderful places, taste a fried green tomato, and meet fellow bloggers. xo

ReplyDeleteGreat finds Kim, I just wish I could be that lucky over here...
ReplyDeleteKim, you done good girl!

ReplyDeletei am so jealous! I want to go there so bad. Wish we had one in Calif.

Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteLove all your great finds!
I just came back home from a three day shopping spree with my sister.
We hit the Raleigh flea market and every place in between. We literally shopped until we dropped.
hugs
Sissie
Kim, I love the olive buckets too, I thought it would be cool to have 2 or 3 turned into light fixtures upside down, hanging over a kitchen island...
ReplyDeleteGreat loot Kim! I really love those books, they look in perfect condition too.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by on Friday and found lots of great items - I did refrain from buying this time but will be back!
ReplyDeleteGerrie
I love all your finds Kim! Good for you for going anyway! It's easy to see that you had fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time! I've got Scott's Market on my "List". If I lived in your area, I'd be happy to go along, Kim. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you found some treasures and that Mr. Savvy is feeling better. ~ Sarah
I'm dying to go thrifting, but life has gotten in the way lately. Love the demijohn and wish I could find grainsacks for that price around here! Also, have never seen an olive bucket before! Now I want one....lol
ReplyDeleteKathleen
Great finds! Love the demijohn - I've been searching for some at decent prices. Can't wait to see where you use it all!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Kim, can't wait to see how you displayed them! I bid on a demijohn a few weeks ago on ebay. It was a large one for $40, of course I went higher but someone outbid me in the last few mins:(
ReplyDeleteLove the demijohn
ReplyDeleteYou have a good eye for interesting treasures! I just found an olive bucket too. I am trying to find a place for it!
ReplyDeleteYvonne
I would have gone to Scott's with you today! Great buys! I think the demijohn was the one I dreamed about Friday night. No joke! I dreamed I found one in perfect condition for $60.
ReplyDeleteI just got an olive basket on a recent trip. I love it.
Oh what great finds. I love the book especially, they look great. I am not familiar with olive buckets, interesting. Can't wait to see what you do with it all. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYou struck gold Kim!!! I love it all!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful haul you brought home. Aren't you glad you went? Love the olive bucket and those books are real treasures.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your good news about Mr. Savvy getting back to work.
Looks and Sounds like you had a WONDERFUL time! Sometimes big places like that are nice to stroll on your own! You can ponder at your own pace... I went by our local FLEA MARKET today and it was PACKED! I haven't been there in "EONS"! MAYBE one of these weekends I'll give it an inspection!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear Mr Savvy is feeling better!
You are ALL in my daily prayers...
Big Hugs,
Donna
Love all of your wonderful finds, Kim! Looks like a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteI am smitten with the olive bucket. I love the industrial feel of them, but haven't seen any here in South Africa. Glad Mr Savvy is on the mend! x Sharon
ReplyDeleteWell hooray for Mr. Savvy and You!!...Now, if I lived closer I would have said..what time do you want me to pick you up??!!...Scotts..what a wonderful place...have not been there in quite a few years...
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did VERY WELL!!...and the best part is that we get to see where these lovelies land in your house!
I would have been in the car with you faster than you can say "olive bucket"! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been to Scott's once when I lived in Savannah I got a friend to go with me. We went on a Sunday, also and it was pretty wiped out, but I did find a white firkin for $50.00, which I thought was a steal, also! Would love to go again some day!
ReplyDeleteDo I sense a new copper mold going up on the wall as the mystery buy?
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
Oh Kim...you should have called me...I love to go on a Sunday sometime...just to stroll the isles...not really looking for anything in particular..but to see what deals I can find. Love all of tour treasures!
ReplyDeleteI love your thrifty finds....that set of books is amazing! I love finding sets of books like that (then I don't have to cover them up to make them look pretty)!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
karianne
Love all your finds, especially the bucket. So happy to hear that Mr. Savvy is returning to work. Hooray!!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I know how excited you are that you made the trip.
ReplyDeleteooh, great finds, Kim! I've only been to Scott's once with friends from out of town. I don't like to drive down there alone, either. I forgot the market was this weekend- phooey, maybe next month.
ReplyDeleteFantastic finds, Kim!! I love the olive bucket! I almost bought one myself two weeks ago. I'm not sure why I talked myself out of it...
ReplyDeleteYou really scored! Love all your loot!
xo-Lisa
I know how you feel about Mr. Savvy returning to work, Kim. Glad that he is better, but now it's time. : ) You got some great stuff. Sometimes it's better when you can go on your own. You might see stuff that you would miss if you are with other people.
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the shopper. I have never been to Scotts. My daughter stops by there as she travels to and fro from Illinois.
ReplyDeleteMaybe someday.
You got some neat things.
Ginger :)
Oh dear, dear Kim, I need an OLIVE bucket. You can imagine why.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh, you found some great things. The demijohn is a great size. What are you going to do with the olive bucket? Love those. Yay for Mr. Savvy. I'll bet he'll be glad to go back to work, too. :)
ReplyDeleteBabs
I am so jealous of your olive bucket. They normally go for about $65 each up in Ohio, but I'm determined to find one at a yard sale cheaper (might have to wait a few years though).
ReplyDeleteYour finds are lovely, Kim! The olive bucket and the grain sack are my favorites. (Is that sack going to turn into a p-i-l-l-o-w??)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds :)
ReplyDeleteI just found you on facebook and thought I'd shoot over to your blog. Love your style. New follower here :)
