This wicker chair use to be in the sun room until one of the back legs broke off. So now it can be a plant stand. I dug the moss up from our yard .The moss is trying to take over in part of the back yard close to the wood line so I have plenty and it is very easy to dig up.
I still have my little concrete dog that I bought two years ago and spray painted black.
If you look at the wicker chair you can see the back leg is missing. Three legs work fine for this.
All the flowers were planted last weekend and I hope soon they spill over the sides.
This pot is chipping since it was left out over the winter.
This is the old fern that was in the sun room. I stuck it in this old chippy urn. I think it will do well out here. It is full of new growth.
I can finally show y'all the number sign I won many months ago from a giveaway by Ramsign at the blog Random Thoughts from an Incoherent Mind. I had tried many times to win one of these and finally did.
That is all the fluffing for now. We have been doing lots of yard work each weekend including putting in
a garden in the back yard. I will share some pics soon.

ReplyDeleteI won a sign too and am waiting for a big rock to be delivered to the end of the drive so that I can put the number on it - hopefully, before the wedding.

You have a beautiful home! I picked up a child's wicker chair last year. Usually I grab kid-sized chairs here and there to place in different flower beds. I'd rather keep this one on the porch but there isn't really enough room. Maybe I will put it in our bedroom next to the big wicker rocker. I NEED MORE ROOM! Or....less stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe porch looks great. I love your dog as well, reminds me of Elvis, who resides on my front porch.
ReplyDeleteI bet your's is well behaved. Doesn't bark, no fleas, cheap to feed and always on guard.
It won't take long for those flowers to be overflowing.
Thanks for sharing, Ginger:)
cute porch. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe chair looks great! Update us when the plants start to spill over, please!!

The wicker and moss is a wonderful pairing. How often do you mist or water the moss?
ReplyDeleteI love your doggie...that's the kind of dog I need. I live in a condo, and doggie's are not allowed.
ReplyDeleteI too am working on a moss chair, hope it turns out half as nice as yours!
Lovely entrance.
That looks lovely, Kim. Love the fern by your front door; I did similar in a black urn. I just bought some flowers this past week. I couldn't wait for my normal Mother's Day "free from frost" time, since its been so hot and humid here.
