Many of the pictures were taken before I got my new camera so the photos are not that great. Pretty good for a point and shoot though.
This is the way the room looked the very first time I shared it on my blog in April of 2010. You can see the full post here.
This was June of 2010 with the summer look and some new flea market finds.
This was the fall look with the change of the slipcover on the sofa that I found on ebay. Bailey is in her favorite spot and it still is.
Then there was Christmas of 2010 with this picture taken at night and it is crooked. Glad my editing has improved.
June 2011
The t.v. cabinet use to look like this.
Now it looks like this.
Fall 2011
Christmas holidays 2011.
Then I painted and lightened up the room a few months ago, but it still wasn't quite right to me.
I took out the old floral chairs for an updated look with first this chair and then I bought another.
This was the last thing I shared with y'all after I got the other chair and switched out the table.
The whole room will be shared very soon.
Today you can find a tour of my home over at my friend Debbiedoos.
Well, everything except the sun room.
Happy Friday!

Beautiful room. Love all the changes, so light and airy.
ReplyDeleteOh how I loved your floral chairs. They looked much more inviting to me. Can't wait to see a picture of everything. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun post to see the transition of one space over the years. Really brings home the whole...a room is never done concept. Thanks for sharing, liz
ReplyDeleteI love all the changes. I especially love the Christmas decor!
ReplyDeleteFun post. I hope you kept those two club chairs for another room. They look comfy and if you wanted to have new slipcovers made, that could be an update too. I also loved seeing the holiday pics again. Love how you even change out the plates on the wall for the season. Cool.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great room, Kim! What's amazing is that I love it in every single picture. It's fun to see the changes that you've made over time in one post.
ReplyDeleteLove that room and the changes are so interesting to see! Just visited the home tour at Debbiedoo's and said......
ReplyDeleteOh Kim I LOVE your home! I've seen lots of it already when you've shared bits before but it was so nice to see it in one fell swoop! I didn't know you and your husband worked on the building of the home like we did so that was VERY interesting! I love your decorating style and use of color. It's always obvious when someone actually LOVES their home and is not just decorating to check a room off their list. A home is always growing and changing and that shows love.....the difference between a house and a home!
Blessings, Lorraine
Your sunroom has been beautiful from the start. You improved it with each change you made and I didn't even think that was possible because it was pretty darn perfect from the beginning! lol

Kim, I know this is the last thing you want to hear. But I miss that room two years ago. The green was perfect to me. I know one must always update. And the new room is beautiful. (Especially those chairs.) But to me that was timeless...

ReplyDeleteTease. But I'm pinning -of all things- the red shutters. How cute are those for the holidays, so I want to remember that when they get here.
