This was my view directly in front of me from the chair. The water is a very pretty blue from some blue dye I put in several weeks ago. The dye helps to filter the sun out in order to keep the growth of algae down.
The lilies are at the other end of the pond from where I was sitting so I had to get close to them to get good pictures since I don't have a strong zoom lens. I need to get one some time.
Now you can see the color of the water. Makes it look like part of the tropics.
I guess I will pretend I am somewhere tropical.
Have a beautiful day and I hope to see y'all tonight for Wow Us Wednesdays!
so lovely..that first picture looks like a painting by Van Gogh
ReplyDeleteI just love lilies on the pond. A friend of ours just got done building their French style chateau on a gorgeous 30 acres with a 10 acre pond that is covered in lilies. Its gorgeous to sit at the gazebo and look out over them and the home. You have a beautiful view!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! What a wonderful place to sit and relax. I am sure I am not the only person to comment that it looks like Monet's garden at Giverny. I think I would get nothing done but to sit and relax in that spot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great moment of nature! Did you know you can buy a purple uv light that will eliminate the algae and keep the water crystal clear?
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and relaxing! I agree with the Monet comment! :)

ReplyDeleteYour pond is beautiful. There's just something relaxing about sitting by the water- I'd never get anything done. :)
ReplyDeleteWe did the same to our pond this year and it has helped so much with the algae. When we had the flood in the fall it really took a toll on many of our water plants, our poor lily's are trying to old on. Only one bloom this year.
ReplyDeleteYour pond looks beautiful!
Your photos of your lovely water lilies made me swoon - not only at how beautiful your view is, but imagining how sweetly fragrant your air must be with their perfumed scent wafting across you as you sit in your chair by the pond. How delightful! Worth every bit of effort you've put into the yard & pond's maintenance.
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice....!!!
