It is in pretty good shape with some wear and rust here and there.
This side has hardly any wear at all.
Summer look with lemons, coral and a sea shell.....
to a touch of fall.
When I picked this enamelware pitcher up in the antique store one of the employees had just passed it up and turned around to find me holding it. She said she didn't know why she hadn't seen it before and asked if I wanted her to take it up front until I was done. Why yes, please.
If you see something you want in an antique mall you better grab it because the one right behind you probably will.
Have a beautiful day.

your sunflowers are lovley in the old enamel jug, that was a great find and wise words too!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of sunflowers, they just mean Fall to me, we grew them in our garden and cut and dried the sunflower heads for the birds to eat off of all winter, the smell stills comes to mind, I just love the color scheme of your room, its so fresh and turns from season to season with such grace,
I was wondering how the sunflowers were standing up so well! Good idea. Love that pitcher. Have a great day. It is BEAUTIFUL here, I am opening the windows and Joe and I are going out to lunch! XO, pinky
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. I usually walk around and then like to go back to pick up what I think I want. But if a crowd comes in, I usually go back and grab it because I worry it will get taken by someone else. Great pitcher! I love enamelware. The sunflowers look nice in it in your sunroom. Sunflowers signal Fall to me too.
ReplyDeleteYellow and white: beautiful! I intend to actually PLANT sunflowers here next year!
ReplyDeleteNancy
I just love that room of yours, Kim! It looks like the happiest place to spend a little time, especially now with those sunflowers? Now why didn't I plant any this year?
ReplyDeleteI have an enamel pitcher very similar that I have dried lavender in. It looks great with the sunflowers. I love the trick about putting a glass inside.
ReplyDeleteA visit to your home is so refreshing, Kim... always makes me want to re-do THis Old House. I love sunflowers too and have a crackle pitcher on the kitchen counter full of them.
ReplyDeleteKim I love the pitcher and with sunflowers it is perfect! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI just love that room, it's so bright and sunny. I love sunflowers too! I saw a big field of them a few weeks ago as I was driving up north and thought to myself that I needed to come back and take a few photos. By the time I came by again though, the heads had drooped...a good reminder to always have my camera along so I can get the shot the first time.
ReplyDeleteLove it, the sunflowers are so pretty and the pitcher is fabulous. Look wonderful in the sun room. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYour new ennamelware pitcher is beautiful....it looks so pretty filled with sunflowers! Love the changes you have made for fall.....
ReplyDelete~Des
I am so in love with sunflowers too, with my colors they work year round in front of my sink, they are just so happy! I got a sprig of fall pumpkins/sunflowers etc that I am going to put in them this week so they can take me from summer to fall
ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers, and yours look beautiful in that enamel pitcher...what a great find!
ReplyDeleteKat
Sunflowers just make you smile...don't they? They look so pretty in your enamelware pitcher. Love that room and your beautiful pics.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunflowers:) I always place an old container inside my favorite containers it makes cleaning it easier, and some have shapes that are hard to get into and clean. Love the fall touch:)
ReplyDeleteI love the sunflowers, Kim! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, The sunflowers are lovely and so is your sun porch! There's a hint of fall in the air today and I'm lovin' it.
ReplyDeleteGreat sunflowers- I think I need to pick a bunch of them up for the house. I wanted to tell you that your photography gets better and better and better. You do a wonderful job- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of sticking a smaller vase inside the pitcher. Great tip. The sunflowers are gorgeous in that room. Have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Nici
Love having sunflowers in the house! They are such happy flowers. Great advice. I'm still kicking myself for putting two French plates down and walking away. Only to have the person following me purchase them. ;-(
ReplyDeleteYour new enamel ware pitcher is charming.
I love your fall look! The sunflowers look beautiful in the enamel pitcher.
ReplyDeleteI have never bought sunflowers before. Not sure why because they sure look great.
Sunflowers just seem to say Fall. They are so bright and cheerful and make you smile. Pretty post.

I grab enamel every time I see one and those sunflowers are perfect for the picture.
ReplyDeleteI neeeeed that pitcher! I love fresh sunflowers...always my first purchase at the Farmer's market.
ReplyDeleteLoverly! I have some in a french flower bucket in the foyer at the moment. Can't beat'em!
ReplyDeletePerfect idea with the vase inside. And you are right, one of a kind items only get to go home with one of a kind who is holding it. Possession is 9/10 of the law right?
ReplyDeleteThose sunflowers are just so cheery, Kim, and the perfect shade of golden yellow for fall. They're perfect in that enamel pitcher. (I picked up an enamal wash basin for $10 once. I use it in my kitchen and I love it, chips and all!) Your room looks so pretty and light. Don't you love the way the sun glows at this time of year?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous display! It makes my heart skip a beat.
