I found these wonderful papier mache tole trays at the antique mall that I shared with you last week. I actually found them on the third trip back. I went back for a vintage copper mold for my breakfast room that I had seen on a previous visit. I got it and then spied these trays. At only $8 apiece they had to come home with me. Wasn't sure where I was going to hang them and then they ended up in the powder room. I took the lighthouse painting out that hung here since I am removing the summer look.
I love the cute little flowers on these and the colors are perfect.
I sure do wish you had smellivision. These beautiful linen sachets from Mi-Septembre smell divine.
They are filled with star anise, clover, and cinnamon. I just placed them in this vintage ironstone food mold to work their magic in here.
Do you know what Mi Septembre translates to in English? If I read it correctly it means in the middle of September. Well, today is the first day of the month, but the middle will be here before you know it.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I was sent these sachets from Mi-Septembre.
Those are such cute trays! They look good in there and can easily be used elsewhere, I'm sure. Now that college football is on (all channels it seems), it sure feels like Fall already. Now the scent of Fall is the only thing lacking and you found it!

Pretty pretty trays. The sachet bags are darling and would be easy to copycat as the price of 28 euros or $35 each is out of my price range.
ReplyDeletewhat a find {& a bargain}! the old painted papier mache trays are so hard to come by, unlike the florentine. we think in the same way - my tole trays hang in my powder room, too. i just picked up a beautiful black 19th century chippendale tray this week {love, love}.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trays, Kim. I have to find some filling like what is in your sachets to make some of my own. I love those scents in the Fall and I'm sure they smell wonderful.
