Need your fortune read? This was in a gypsy decorated camper. The picture of the outside accidentally got deleted.
This was a western themed camper.
They had cotton bolls there, of course.
This was a gorgeous old peach orchard ladder. I just don't have a place for one.
Loved this unusual scale, but not the price.
$26 for these old enamelware pails.
This vendor had a lot of nice collectibles. These demijohns were all $48.
Would love to have had one of these vintage German sleds. Would be great to decorate for Christmas.
Towards the end of our long day we came upon the mother load of grain sacks. Shirley recognized the vendor who she had seen at a similar fair in N.C. in the spring. The vendor is from Austria and she had the best prices. ALL her grain sacks were $45 each. There were all different colors.
She also had these fabulous chairs.
Kim, So much stuff, so little time. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Kim! Lots of great things and good prices!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with that piece of furniture.

Hi Kim, I must say I can't decide if I am in awe of this adventure or a bit green-what a great but exhausting time you had. So many things I saw I'd love but then saw the prices. To meet Cari too-wow. I love antiques and looking for treasures but bet I would have been so tired. Thank you so much for sharing.

Judy
What a great day you had! I'm sure that some of the prices are inflated for the fair, but with that many vendors you're bound to find what you want at a price that works.
ReplyDeleteKim. Looks like Shirley and you had a fun day! I love all your new treasures.
ReplyDeleteI want one (or two) of those $48.00 demijohns!

In the thick of the storm, the rain and wind are terrible. 65 mPH guests as I type this. I hope the house and the trees and we survive.
Have a great week, looking forward to lots more photos.

Too funny Kim. The scale was so cute and I turned my head to check the price and thought OH MY. I loved that sea of silver and pewter though. Yum! Heaven for me :) You got some great finds. Love the new piece. I saw the peek on fb and it's fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is wow!! I am on the hunt for a great doughbowls. I wish I could have snag one of those!
ReplyDeleteI saw so many items I would love to buy! Those doughbowls were amazing! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteLots of things to love and take home.
ReplyDeleteIncredible. I can't wait until I'm living in Atlanta next year so I can go. stay warm.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
Great buys, Kim. Love the white pitcher and sugar bowl. I had heard the prices could be a bit much at the Country Living Fair when I was considering going here in Ohio in September. Those trailers look like a lot of fun. We've got the same weather here, I don't mind the cooler air, but was hoping for some sun.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to go so bad but was just too tired from the shelter install! Looks like you scored some good stuff!!
ReplyDeleteIt's probable that someone would've been injured, likely me, as I pushed, prodded, jumped and tripped my way to that pile of dough bowls that even now is still taking my breath away!
ReplyDeleteI've been hunting one of those for ages, and $98 no matter the size is about to send me over the edge!!! I must back away from the computer now, as the jealousy towards anyone who got to actually pick through that pile is really unchristian of me... ugh!!

Just looking was like being in grain sack heaven. You're my kind of girls to go hit a antique mall after spending the whole day at the event shopping!
ReplyDeleteWow looks like fun, what a perfect fall day, I just got home to heavy rain...we had such good weather back east..so now all good things must come to an end. Loved the picture of you!
ReplyDeleteThe amount of stock each vendor had of the same item was amazing. Sometimes I can go places and see one or none of some of those things and they had 25 or more. And that scale, cute for sure and that price, wow.
ReplyDeleteBliss
Thanks for letting those of us who couldn't attend get a peak of the party!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that looks amazing! Okay, you have me sold, I'm definitely planning on it next year. And I'd better start saving now! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast! I LOVE these sorts of events! Love the grain sacks!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun experience! Love that quilted star pillow.........Sarah
ReplyDeleteWow--that white baroque-styled sofa is inCREDible!
ReplyDeleteCatherine
Looks like paradise with all that stuff! I love those sleds!
ReplyDeleteKim, did you get any roe antlers???? were they priced well?
ReplyDeleteDoes the grain sack dealer from Austria have an estsy shop??!!! I bought some stuff a few months ago from an etsy seller from Austria who has the most fantastic grain sacks and antique hemp. Oh how I'd love to get my hands on some of the stuff in your photos! Should have had you buying for me and ship it to me!!
ReplyDeleteKim, looks like it was fabulous! Wish I could of gone. The prices were good to.
ReplyDeleteOK - that does it! Shirley better pick me up on her way down there next year! I'm so glad that y'all had a good time.
ReplyDeleteThat scale is wonderful, but not a wonderful price. I love all the linens and grain sacks. I read about the show on several blogs. It looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteReally? All I can say is WOW! The German sleds are to-die-for!
