I found this beauty on ebay several weeks ago from the seller that I have ordered all my other vintage antlers from.
I needed a large size rack to fill in the space above the fireplace and to draw the eye up.
When Mr. Savvy hung them for me he called me the great white hunter. Yes, dear, that's me. Poor man just doesn't get that this is a decorating style. I know many of y'all don't either.
This is the way it looked when I shared my fall mantel recently.
Now with the new rack. I took out the box and grapes from the center of the mantel. It was just too much with the antlers, too.
I love them.

ReplyDeleteI love them too, Kim. I keep hinting to everyone I know who has a hunter in their family that I would love for them to find some for me, but they always look at me like I have two heads! So does my hubby. Like yours - he just doesn't get it. I think they look great above your mantle and are perfect for drawing the eye up - just like you wanted.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, Your new rack looks lovely, lol. I bought a set of 5 faux antlers from Ballard Design last year and still love them. I don't think my husband gets it either.
ReplyDeleteLove the "rack", Kim! I too love antlers. I started my vast collection when I lived in Atlanta. My favorite shop Boxwoods in Buckhead turned me on to the vintage ones. I recently moved my collection. Did you see? http://uptownacorn.blogspot.com/2012/09/fall-brings-changean-antler-adjustment.html
