There was a $24 charge apiece if we wanted to walk around inside the fenced off area and we opted not to.
So instead I just grabbed some shots from over the fence.
Here is a peek at something that had to come home with me. More to come tomorrow.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Hi Kim, Girl I love your photos of Mystic. I haven't been there but so love Maine with it's similar feel. I think there is a dog woven into the sisal-it will be interesting to see-whatever it is, it looks incredible! Have a great weekend.

Your photos are all very beautiful, any one of which would make a lovely framed piece of art. Thanks for sharing! Carolyn NC
ReplyDeleteLove all the great pics, looks like you had great weather with all that sunshine. Can't wait to hear the story about the new pillow:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Kim! We've taken the kids to the aquarium in Mystic. Pretty pillow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Looks like the weather was nice in Mystic. Your pillow (assuming that it's a pillow and not a rug) looks a bit like Claire Murray. Can't wait to hear all about it. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos of your trip! Looks so serene and peaceful!
ReplyDeleteYou're only about 1 1/2 hours from me! Glad you're having such an amazing time!

Hi Kim...didn't you just love it up there....and I know you went to Martha's Vineyard also....I would live there in a minute if it wasn't for ice cold weather in the winter and ridiculous taxes.....But I sure wish we had scenery like that down here in Georgia.....Did you go to Edgartown an all those fabulous shops...we love it there...
ReplyDeleteMystic Seaport was one of the highlights of our tour a couple of years ago. Fortunately for us, the price of touring inside the village & it was so very interesting. You got some great photos of the lovely homes. I just fell in love with the white clapboard houses with black shutters -- so not a style for the desert, however! So glad you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteI havn't been to the Eastern Seaboard, but I would love to visit. Gorgeous pics and looks like such a cute town. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! We should have known that you couldn't come home without a pillow!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great stay! And you got great shots from "outside" the fence...lol..
ReplyDeleteMystic is really a charming town. We try to visit often, and there are some great restaurants too.
LOVE your hook rug!! Please open it up and show it all!! Beautiful day in the harbor and all the boats! I grew up on an inlet - St. Augustine, Fla. and miss walking the docks, checking out the boats!!
ReplyDeleteI am betting that is a dog pillow??? The town looks beautiful. How was the weather? Warm or cool already? I have never been to New England and am dying to get up there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics of a beautiful historic area!
ReplyDeleteThe overcast pictures were almost more of what I expected, this time of year, in the northeast. I guess it's anything goes, in the fall! Very pretty! I liked the fence in the photograph too! Lots of colorful, painted wood, too! :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband is from CT and he took me to Mystic once. It was gorgeous! Would love to go again and am really enjoying your beautiful photos! Thank you for sharing! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteOh that is gorgeous! My mother always talked of Mystic from when they lived in CT while my dad was stationed in the Coast Guard. Now I see why she loved it so! And I see a dog! I know it is going to be great!
ReplyDeleteEvery picture IS like a postcard...what a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteKim, thank you for this walk down memory lane. When I was about eight years old, we lived in Mystic on a hill overlooking the seaport. It was ... and thanks to your beautiful photography I see still is ... very beautiful.
