I could use the crate in place of the basket. The sides are much lower and would make it easier for her to get to her toys since she is such a short dog.
Now she can easily get to her bear and her balls.
Her chew bones, rubber bone, tire and other stuffed critters.
Now they are all much cuter corralled together in the vintage crate and so much easier for her to reach without whining at me for help. Of course her favorites are scattered all over the house. It's just like have young kids around.
It is in the 70's here today with a chance of rain. I am going to go nag the mister now to go get some bags of mulch for me to put out before the cold comes back on Monday.
Happy Saturday!

Cute idea and yes our furry one's are just like children with toys everywhere! Enjoy the day!

What a clever idea! Her toys look so neat and clean. My Yorkie Simon's toys look like they have been dragged around for a hundred years even though they are only about a month old! Of course none of his stuffed "babies" have their hair anymore either! LOL

That is a great idea...and I LOVE the pillow!
ReplyDeleteGood idea - aside from having a lot of toys underfoot, I always just throw them in Rory's bed, but then he turfs them all out when he wants to curl up. Your idea is much better!
ReplyDeleteHi Kimmie! Oh, this is a cute idea! Little Bailey is loving this, I'm sure! Happy Saturday and be a sweetie,
ReplyDeleteShelia ;)
Genius! I have one just like it in my greenhouse, running out to get it right now to corral my granddog's toys!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable idea Kim. Might have to steal that one. Not because Vic is little ( Chocolate Lab) but because it's so darn cute.
ReplyDeleteI know all about the toys all over the house. The other night I tripped over a HUGE Kong rubber bone and suffered soft tissue damage to my foot. :-/
Cheers, Gee
you are such a good "mommy" to bailey! cute idea
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! I have a very shallow basket for Max's toys, but if you needed something different for yours, that seems to be a great fit.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, tell me that little dog isn't spoiled rotten!! She's so cute though, how could you help it? The crate is a great idea, and I'm sure she'll appreciate it! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Cute idea! Of course, this wouldn't work for us for awhile. Our puppy would devour that crate, and chew the legs off the bench while he was at it :) I currently have tinfoil all over the house covering things I don't want him to chew. Oh they joys of puppyhood!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Kim!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWarm here today also, but dreary and soggy. Enjoy your weekend.
I'm envious that you can work in your garden! We had a gorgeous day yesterday but it's just so soggy after our 3 inches of rain this week. We need 9 inches to end our drought, so it's a start. Hope you get some good rain too!
ReplyDeleteCute idea! But what I really want to know is where you got that pillow! I want one with my golden retriever, Lucy, on it! So cute! Please share.
ReplyDeleteI have a "toy box" for my dog, too, and he knows right where to find all of his favorite playthings. Now, if only I could figure out how to teach him to put it all away when he's finished...Oh, well, my kids haven't even mastered that skill yet. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am sure Bailey is happy to have more toys at her level. Love the look of the crate
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Bailey is appreciative of her new toy box, be careful if you have balls in there. My dog Semper leaves his balls in the most traveled areas and I almost do a nose dive on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great idea and much cuter for storage of the toys than a basket. Bailey looks to have some fun toys.
Kris
Great idea Kim. My Ellie-Mae has the same "noodle" long toys you have there...the green, tan and black came in a set of 3 and she loves them. I bet she and Bailey would be good friends...LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a GREAT SAaturday!
Cindy
Oh what we do for our dear pets. Our little girl is nearly 14 and slowing down. She loves to lie on our bed, but can't make it so I had to make an ottoman for her that sits at the end of the bed. If she still played with toys I would copy your idea.
ReplyDeleteIt may be 70 where you are, but on the west coast it is cold, cold, cold. It is only weather for art projects today. We don't want to go out.
What a great idea-don't you just love it when an idea works out so well-I know I do!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
Love the idea Kim, my dog as toys in a white tote. Funny how we get rid of the kids toy box and move on to one for the dogs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative idea ... our little Dolce and Gabbana have very similar toys (but I must say Miss Bailey is taking much better care of hers... no visible chew pieces missing..:0) Yorkies really are wonderful just like children. Hugs, HHL
ReplyDeleteGreat fit!! Cute pillow!!
ReplyDeleteOur toys are rubber kongs. If they had anything else they'd destroy them playing tug.
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteand I'm envious of your 70's temps.
Bailey is styling with the cute, vintage toy crate now. Just to chic, like her momma ;)
ReplyDeleteI just bought home a new doggie today, and bought her 1 toy so far that you put treats into and she plays with it to get them out. I have a feeling I might need a few more toys going by your box! This looks great, if only you could teach to put them back after playing :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Kim!

Great idea Kim, I'm always looking for ideas to stow Miss Tessa's toys. I simply adore your sunroom and it was the inspiration our new sunroom addition, where did you find the cabinet with the doors that you keep your TV in, I'm having the darndest time finding something with doors for our sunroom to put a TV so that I can make it disappear when not in use.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and the perfect size for Miss Bailey! I pick up Chloe & Gracie's toys 5 times a day that a stored in a deep basket. I can only imagine how many times I'd have to do it if they had easier access :)
