We have had such a strange spring season with lots of rain and much cooler temps until just a couple weeks ago so I am very late doing much outside except for cutting the grass.
While out working the aroma of honeysuckle and what we call sweet bush is filling the air. I like to cut some and bring it inside so I can continue to enjoy the wonderful scent.
I added the cut stems to a large vintage Ball jar and added it to my vignette on the dining room table.
I had some leftover white flowers from a Mother's Day bouquet that stuck in.
I brought in my concrete rooster from the sun room.
The yellow bee bowls are still here.
A vintage rum bottle sits on a stack of plates.
I'm still loving this rustic tray that my daughter gave me for Christmas.
Well, if you need me I'll be out in the yard.
Happy holiday weekend!
Love how pretty those fresh picked flowers look in that blue ball jar. Wish I could smell them too! Today should be a pretty one. We've been so lucky to have pretty weather this weekend!

Beautiful! My honeysuckle seems to be more fragrant this year does yours! We have had a wacky spring here in Texas too. I think we got 2 inches of rain Friday and yesterday. The temps are heating up too!

Hi Kimmie! This is so lovely and I'm sure that honeysuckle smells divine! I used to have some and it took over my flower bed and broke the trellis it was on! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love that rustic tray too Kim. It would be a favorite of mine and I would use it every chance I could. Your vignette is beautiful. I especially love the flowers in the vintage canning jar. Where did you find the jar? And we have some honeysuckle out back, but for some reason, I never think to bring any in. I'm going to have to do that sometime. If mine looked like yours, I would stop and look at it every time I walked by. In fact, sitting out here on the back porch at our lake house, it would be perfect. Wish I had it right now! :) Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
