It was hard for me to pick a favorite room, but our downstairs guest room won out. It is definitely the best example of my coastal inspired flea market style. And, it doesn't hurt that it is the cleanest and ready for pictures.
Some of the first projects I worked on in this room were the DIY vintage sign and faux grain sack headboard along with the Swiss Cross pillow. I love making pillows. I think they are the quickest and least expensive way to freshen up a room. The wool throw is made with 2 yards of washable wool with blanket binding sewn on the edges. You can find directions for all these projects on my projects page.
This little art gallery is a mix of yard sale treasures and artwork done by family members.
I love color and texture and mixing vintage items with new pieces.
The black captains chair belonged to my husbands father, and works perfectly in this room with it's hand painted ship detail.
I definitely have flea market style. I enjoy antiquing and perusing a good yard sale with friends.
Thank you so much Kim for letting me share my guest room. I enjoyed visiting with you all today and hope you'll stop by and say hello.
Thank you, Mary. I am so glad you shared my favorite room of yours, too. It is filled with so much vintage charm.
Alright y'all, please go over to At Home on the Bay and do some snooping around Mary's cute home and let her know you stopped by.
