Some of us were on gasp overload when we walked in this huge place.
This clock was ginormous and a bit pricey. I don't have a wall even large enough anyway.
There was all kinds of great lighting.
Loved this old bell jar cloche and wish I had bought it, but I have to keep reminding myself that I am saving for France.
Super prices on baskets.
Need a chair? These were $30 each.
This place with the chairs was right next door to the store I just showed you. See the white headed man in front of the entrance? That is Paula Deen's husband who was shopping there. She was in a car close by.
This is how it looked when we walked in. HUGE!
There was so much stuff that it was overwhelming. A few ladies did buy some old seltzer bottles at a really good price.
Now on to stop three. This is the warehouse we were looking for and boy did it have some great stuff at fabulous prices.
Loved the furniture covered in vintage grain sacks.
Need a demijohn? There was no shortage here.
Olive jars.
How about a small garbage can?
Nice old crib and had to get a shot of the creepy baby.

I leave you with a peek at what I worked on this past week. Just a tiny color update.
Hope you have a bright sunny weekend where you are. I think we may need to go buy a boat.

ReplyDeleteOh my word, so much to see. Can't wait to see what you got. You are painting your bedroom, can't wait to see the new look. I love the old color, so pretty. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi, Kim - I've never been to High Point. Lucky you! I see so many cool accessories in these showrooms. Love all the bottles! Have a great weekend! x Loi
ReplyDeleteNext time you go to High Point, I'm coming along too! What a place!!!!
ReplyDeleteI see you are painting! Looks like your bedroom color, to me! I'm also getting rid of my brown/tan family room... it's just too dark, although I love the color. Excited to see what you will do next!
OMG... a creepy baby! It got your attention, obviously not for use with a real child and way more effective than signage! Thanks for sharing your trip! Great photography!
ReplyDeletelove the window-shopping kim, thanks a bunch for sharing! I adore that wooden ball chandy!!! Gorgeous, actually all were gorgeous except for me, the Caged lighting, don't you think it's a bit dungeon-y/dominatrix kinda lighting?! LOL! That's just me, wish IK could go there someday!
ReplyDeleteOhhh...I got all sweaty & twitchy looking at the sheer abundance of goodies. Thanks for sharing...I need to go take some deep breaths. Wish the Rose Bowl flea was this weekend. I need a fix!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

OMG! It looks so amazing there...I want to visit so badly. It kind of reminds me of this store that we used to have here. It was owned by a big family ...they would travel to Europe to buy furniture and all kinds of really great things. When the exchange rate became unfavorable though they closed :(
ReplyDeleteI loved your shopping visits. I'm glad I dropped by. This is my kink of thing.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Lots of great pieces... i agree the doll is creepy... Ha ha, have a good weekend... Mary
ReplyDeleteoh. my. gosh. you would have had to drag me out of those places!
ReplyDeleteWow! What shopping! I would have loved to be in the midst of that. I loved the chandeliers with all the wood balls...I'm thinking DIY there. Can't wait to see the change to the master.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome trip, Kim! jealous... ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe just trekked to Athens to pick up my daughter in this terrible weather... and then came home and lit a fire! So over the chilly rain!
Hope yours is a good one ~ xo Heidi
What is the name of the last warehouse you went to?
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I do not need another place within driving distance that I long to shop at but here we go again. Love the trashcans.
ReplyDeleteI would have had a hard time not getting something. But I bet you will be bringing home some amazing treasures from France! How fun that Paula dean was there the same day.Too bad she was sitting in her car.Looking forward to hearing about that wall you are painting :-) I am working outside trying to finally get some of that done!

Wow... I am so jealous but I feel that I was right there with you because of the fabulous photos!!!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks like so much fun, Kim. I probably would have gone into overload at the treasure troves everywhere!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely lots to look at....and I find when I'm over stimulated I either get a headache or overspend. :)
ReplyDeleteSo many great treasures! I cannot wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteOhh there was so much good stuff!! I am wishing I would have shipped a few more things back ;) Love the peek you shared- looking forward to seeing the changes!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the shops that we ran across in High Point! Can't wait to go back to Golden Oldies next month! Sure do wish that I could have made it to the warehouse that is only open during market with y'all. In October maybe...
ReplyDeleteWOW! My mind is swirling just from looking at the pictures! I can't even imagine being there?! So many treasures! I look forward to seeing your bedroom! Life to the full! Melissa @ DaisyMaeBelle
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these places you found...I can't even imagine how awesome it was!
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing places to shop till you literally drop!! Such eye candy everywhere!...I am in the "same boat" here...the weather has been pretty crummy here lately...Rainy days are great days to stay inside and paint...I am loving the color you have chose!!
ReplyDeleteHoly, holy, Kim! I had NO IDEA!!!! I have been to high point the last 3 markets and I never heard anything about this. Will you share where they are? I will be down there again in the fall and my wheels are already spinning. Thanks so much for sharing this insight.
ReplyDeleteGreat eye candy!! How could you resist? Hope you don't need a boat, but if you do...what color would you paint it? ;)
ReplyDeleteI would love to shop there! how wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at your comment about the cloche. I too passed up something awesome yesterday (that still eats at me to be honest) I too am saving for our trip to France. Can't wait to go, haven't been there since 2001 and now I get to go with my new (11 years) hubby. Hope you too have a great trip. It will be worth the sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteKim, Those shops were fabulous! I've never seen so many olive jars in one place. It looks like you are painting your bedroom...I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sherry
Thanks for the trip to High Point, truly overwhelming, almost too much eye candy! I go to the Atlanta Market annually and it is trully wonderful, exhausting, and overwhelming at the same time! I love what you have selected to photograph and will look forward to hearing more~
ReplyDeleteJenna
Oh, how much fun that must have been. I end up mostly looking because our cottage is too tiny for me to buy antyhing new.
ReplyDeleteYes! Not sure when or how, but the last two places you featured need to be seen up close and personal. Please share the names, if you have them. Thanks so much!
