My name is Kris and I have my blog Junk Chic Cottage

I was thrilled and honored to have Kim ask me to be part of her Favorite Room Series. It is so inspirational to see the new rooms Kim features. |
I truly love all the rooms in my home they are similar in cottage style but uniquely different from each other. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it would be my bedroom. This room is my sanctuary where my husband and I go for peace and serenity at the end of a long day.
I love to use old vintage salvage pieces in my decor. We took three vintage old doors and made them into our headboard. I love to have these pieces of history re loved back into my decor. |
I use soft sheets and duvets for my bedding. I love to sink down into my bed at night and feel comfy. |
Another heirloom I have is my mom's first set of suit cases she got as a High School graduation gift. They were a dark blue and I painted them white. |
Our bedroom gets a lot of natural light so I like to keep the decor light and airy. |
I love the romantic feel of chandeliers in a room, especially in a bedroom. |
This is a jewelry holder that my husband made for me. He took an old porch post and vintage door knobs and made them into this unique piece. Now I have a great place for my jewelry. |
I know you have met Bailey, Kim's dog, so I thought I would introduce you to our little dog Libby. She is our 10 year old basset hound and even she is tan and white to match the decor!! |
