How are y'all? I am having the best time? I just wanted to pop in and say hello from France. This is the first time I have composed a post on my iPad. Having a really hard time writing where I want to on here and trying to place the photos where I want them, but giving it a go.
Here are a couple of photos from today.
This is the Manoir we are staying in now through Tuesday. I know it is really rough staying here, but somebody has to do it. Lol
Even with an overcast day this view is still wonderful. I may have possibly found a farm table which was one of the items I was looking for. I have two more days to see if another one pops up. If not I will get the first one. It is really nice, but I didn't want to jump on the first one when I can still get it later.
The towns and countryside of Normandy are like storybook villages or something you see in the movies. My batteries in my smaller camera I brought died two days ago so all my pics are iPhone or iPad shots. I hope to get some batteries tomorrow.
Miss y'all and talk to you soon. Have a super week!
Oh what fun to be there with some friends and dine and discover...have a great time and take lots of pictures...Phyllis
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful travelling with girlfriends? This is my favorite thing to do. Men never want to do the same things we do and it just makes better sense to leave them at home sometimes. Don't worry about posting. We'll wait for you!!
ReplyDeleteenjoy~! get batteries and lots of pics:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are having such a good time Kim, I knew you would love France! And I can't wait to see which table you end up bringing home!

I loved seeing this post all the way from France! Looks like you are staying at some very nice homes. Much better than a hotel I bet. Can't wait to see what you bring home. You'll have to promise to take pics to share and not keep us waiting until it's staged in your home! LOL! Hope you've adjusted well to the time difference and the money exchange. Those were hard on me when I traveled to London a bazillion years ago. Hope your last few days are fun!
ReplyDeleteI can see the hardship of staying there... sigh.. :-) Looks like you ladies are having a fun time. Great!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the table.

ReplyDeleteBonjour! Isn't France fabulous. I have a friend who lives on the coast so I've spent some time out there -- isn't it nice to experience the "real" France. . . not that Paris isn't great. Posting from the iPad definitely has a learning curve, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Enjoy the rest of your trip and have a crepe for me!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what a great time you girls are having.
ReplyDeleteGet some more batteries! What a beautiful place to stay! Safe travels! ;)

ReplyDeleteHi Kim, Keep having fun & taking lots of pictures! Looking forward to seeing your purchases.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me feel that I am there with you, Kim!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful that you are spending time in Normandy. My children's ancestor (on their dad's side) with the surname of Martin came across the in 1066 with William the Conqueror and for his service to William was given lands in England and Wales. One of Sir Martin's grandsons married a Welsh Princess. So wish I could see Normany and Wales. You are so blest to be able to travel anywhere especially Normandy. Have a wonderful rest of the stay there. Your photos are great and came through very well. Warmly, Mary (The Old Elf)
ReplyDeleteMy, I can't believe you're having an overcast weather, when I live only two hours from Normandy and we're having summer like weather! Wait, I'm sending the sun your way!
