Thanks to Comfort Works I have a beautiful new custom slip made for my Pottery Barn basic slipcover. They have been making slipcovers for the Ikea sofas and chairs for awhile, but wanted to start making them for the Pottery Barn sofa, too.
I was thrilled to be contacted by Rachel, co owner of Comfort Works, and asked if I would like a new slipcover. First thing I had to do was choose some fabric swatches to make my choice. The fabrics are quite nice. I chose a variety of solids and stripes.
After I made my fabric choice of Leige Biscuit I then had to do lots of measurements so they could make the pattern for the PB basic sofa. In less than a week it was made and I received it the day before Thanksgiving. It came it this bag that looks like Santa's bag and in a box of course. This certainly feels like Christmas!
I love the linen look and feel of this slip. It isn't really washable though. It can be spot cleaned or dry cleaned, but I hope I can keep it clean.
Here is a peek at it with the Christmas pillow on it. I will share the room decorated for Christmas soon.
I am so thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Comfort Works so that they can offer a slipcover for the Pottery Barn sofa for others, too. I really wish they had contacted me about a month sooner because it would have saved me $1000 that I spent ordering a new slip from Pottery Barn. I ordered another white one, but it is more of an off white. I wanted the linen one from PB, but it was over $1800 and I just could not spend that much. It also can take two months to get a new slip from PB. The good thing is now I have two different slipcovers that I can switch out and they will both last a long time and I have two different looks for the room. When these wear out or if I want a new look I will order from Comfort Works.
I hope you will look around Comfort Works and look at their fabrics and prices. They do just about any kind of slipcover and normally ship in three weeks time. If you want to update your Ikea slipcovers or your Pottery Barns slips I know you will love the custom work you will get. They also can do different colored piping or even ruffled edges.
You can follow them on facebook and check out their Pinterest boards for more slipcover ideas.
I just love getting opportunities like this through blogging and this is the best one yet!! If you are in the market for a new slipcover I highly recommend them.
I hope y'all have a super week!
I was compensated with a slipcover for this review, but all opinions are my own. You can see my full disclosure under the tab at the top of my blog.

It looks absolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIf you use a steamer like this one from Amazon (which I use and LOVE) you'll be able to remove wrinkles more easily than with an iron. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018ZHHS4/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
ReplyDeleteP.S. Works great for making cotton knit tops look perfectly smooth.
Lucky you Kim! I work with a fabricator who makes perfect slipcovers so I'm always skeptical about how well others turn out. Yours looks amazing! I will follow Comfort Works and maybe they will make slipcovers for Crate and Barrel sofas. I need some new ones. Glad you got yours just in time for the holidays. Looks great!
