I wasn't going to decorate the kitchen for Christmas, but I just couldn't help myself and since I host Christmas eve this year I didn't want it to look like the scrooge lived here.
I have a hot chocolate stand and have been enjoying it. I love the Williams Sonoma Hot Chocolate and their peppermint stick stirrers.
For no rhyme or reason I filled the vintage bread box with bread boards and a boxwood topiary.
We are also ready for a cup of hot coffee.
Vintage French towels.
Mule has a new job. I was so glad to bring him back out and fill him with some Christmas cheer.
Mr. Rooster stands proud in his festive ribbon.
This glass box was stored away since two Christmases ago so I was glad to bring it back out.
Stop by anytime and I will whip you up a cup of hot chocolate.
Enjoy your week!
Kim….I finally got some decor up on Sat. The hardest part was finding places for the stuff I removed when I added the Christmas things! I have neglected the kitchen but now I am inspired to add a few touches after seeing all of your cute vignettes!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is definitely ready for Christmas now. My kitchen is my favorite room to decorate. So cute how you used your enamel bread box. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove your ideas! Been seeing hot chocolate bars everywhere but yours is the best so far! Love it, also like that it is i the kitchen which makes more sense. I think your linens make the kitchen feel most cozy, love the aprons. Going to bring out my Dundee jar and add some candy canes too, cute idea!
ReplyDeleteYou have again, inspired me! Love the warmth of your kitchen Kim.

ReplyDeleteHow I would love to stop by! Except I wouldn't take the hot chocolate--I'd be too afraid that I'd spill it as I walked around your house, checking out every beautiful corner!!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen doesn't look one bit like Scrooge lives there. Hope you have a wonderful time on Christmas Eve!
Beautiful Kim! I LIVE in my kitchen -- so I cannot imagine not decorating there. Although my decorations are simple and homey, the kitchen is the room I would choose to decorate if there could be only one room. I could even forego the tree just to have Christmas in the kitchen. It is truly the heart of our home. Merry Christmas!! ~Sally

Your kitchen is so festive Kim. I'm still tweaking mine. Isn't it funny how we say we aren't decorating or are cutting back this year, only to go all out? That's what's happening to me anyway! Every day I find myself adding more Christmas to the house! ~Delores

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! What kind/color granite is in your kitchen, i love it!! And what color are your kitchen cabinets (the white/creamy ones)? Thanks so much and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMolly, the granite is Giallo Ornamental and the cabinets were professionally painted. They do white first and then a glaze.

It just wouldn't have been right to leave your kitchen "unChristmasfied", and it looks great.
ReplyDeleteI posted my Christmas kitchen, too. Please come by to visit and say hello.
This is a great article and I love all your decorations, especially the Christmas pots and all the ribbons you use. My wife and I love putting Christmas trees and ribbons like these all over our house when decorating for the holidays. This year we decided to put a big one in the family room and a bunch of little ones all over the place. We just had a new addition added to our house and we have always wanted a spiral staircase. We decided to look up Spiral Staircase Prices so we knew which one to buy. We also decided to use this style stair case because they are easy to decorate around, even during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteKim I just LOVE your individual wrapped marshmallows!!! Could you please tell me where you purchased them? Thank you so much!! :) Your kitchen is so festive.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Dana
