This little stool has been in our master bath for some time. Mr. Savvy sits on it in the morning to put his socks and shoes on.
We have sand stone tile flooring and it is very soft and this is what has happened to the floor. I put felt pads on the bottom of the legs so this would stop, but this scratch and one other stuck out like a sore thumb. These scratches drove the mister nuts more than me.
Since I got tired of him complaining I started thinking. Hmmm, there must be away to make those scratches go away.
And then the light bulb went off and I ran to the kitchen...
and made a cup of really strong tea. That's right. Tea. And I sat down and drank it while I was thinking. Uh, no, just kidding. I took the tea to the bathroom.
I soaked a cotton ball in the tea and then put it on the scratches and let it stay for a bit.
I figured it couldn't hurt to try.
I wiped up the tea and ta da! No more scratch mark.
After Mr. Savvy got home from work he went to the master bath to change clothes and came back in the kitchen where I was cooking supper and said, "you think you are a smart butt, don't you?" What? Then he said, "you fixed the floor." Oh, yes. Yes, I did and yes, I am.
So if you need to fix a scratched stone tile....try some tea. And then relax with a cup of hot tea for a job well done.
We've gone from freezing cold temps a few days ago to almost 60 degrees and a tornado watch today.
Enjoy the weekend!
