Hi, I'm Kathleen from Faded Charm. When Kim asked me to be a part of her Favorite Room series, I have to admit it made me really think about which room in my home was my favorite.
As I thought about it, I had to choose my living room even though it hasn't always been my favorite. Actually there were quite a few years that it was my least favorite due to the furnishing I had in there. It is amazing how the right furniture can really change the look of any room.
It wasn't until last year when I finally purchased some slipcovered sofas from Ikea that I really began to like this room.
They seemed to pull the room together sitting across from each other with a French wicker basket in between them for a coffee table. It's a great room to sit and visit or relax by a crackling fire.
I've had the two stacked benches in this room for 10 years now in a couple different areas and still love the look. A new clock from World Market resides above them as a focal point.
I've also had this armoire ever since we moved into this house which holds our stereo and T.V. and the staircase is another another area in this room that I love.
I hope you enjoyed the tour of my living room and I'd like to thank Kim for having me here today.
Thank you so much, Kathleen for opening up your home for us.
I sure hope y'all will go tour more of Kathleen's home filled with beautiful vintage goodies at Faded Charm. Just like her blog name says her home evokes faded charm.
I hope y'all have a beautiful weekend. We are actually getting into the sixties!

Wow! This is a very pretty living room. Very soothing. I really loved how Kathleen created a home for the Virgin Mary statue to the right of the fireplace, creating a sort of grotto with the architectural surround and the candles. Brilliant and beautiful!!!
