Yesterday I showed you the vintage mirror above this buffet and today I'm sharing detailed photos of this humongous wonderful piece.
It's a good thing we have a 16 ft ceiling in the foyer so this would fit the space. It's a whopping 45 inches tall.
It is an Empire style buffet and is solid walnut.
The walnut is so pretty and as you can see it is built with pegs.
This is the knob style that was on the piece when I bought it. Not the originals and not quite right for this.
I ordered these from House of Antique Hardware and they were less than $12 apiece.
There is a shelf inside and lots of room for storage.
This demijohn was found in France, too. Large, green and dimpled.
This is the bottom of the inside. Old dirty planks that I have since cleaned.
Beautiful piece of furniture!!! Love the whole foyer setting!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, Kim ... your foyer is the perfect place for it, too! I "want" that demijohn!
ReplyDeleteWow! Massive and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning, Kim, and beautifully accessorized and I'm sure, worth the wait! Enjoy!
