Today we are moving on from the snow to flowers. I am so ready for spring as I know most of us are and nothing adds a touch of spring like flowers. The photographers left some of the flowers used for props since they weren't going to last long and I have really enjoyed them. Today I wanted to share a few shots of the wonderful red tulips.
The tulips were used in my sunroom in my old enamelware pitcher. I love how this photo turned out. This is from my camera, but it looks like a waterlogue app photo that I am so addicted to. Have you used that app yet? I know it only works on Apple products for now.
I enjoyed these for the last several days since the sunroom is also where I blog. Afraid they are on their last leg now. I guess I will pick me up a fresh bunch.
I do love tulips. I just wish they lasted longer. What is your favorite?
Have a beautiful day!
They are beautiful Kim and such a rich, cheerful color! I am planning to pick up some tulips this week too. I keep seeing them at the grocery store just calling my name! We are supposed to get MORE snow on Tuesday...I really can't take it anymore! C'mon spring!!!

Ooooh, I love tulips, too. They ARE spring when it come to flowers. =) I'll be glad when spring gets here! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful in your white pitcher!!! I bought some tulips a week ago and had to throw them out yesterday. I did remember to put the penny in the vase this time so that they would stand up straight. Don't think spring is coming right yet. With the craziness of the weather around here...ice storm, spring weather, and earthquake, it would not surprise me if we don't get another snow before the season is totally gone.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. One of the reasons I won't plant tulips is cuz they only bloom once. I want things that bloom as long as they can. Arizona weather has been very warm for this time of year and my flowers have been blooming up a storm. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw that first picture (before I read) I thought it was a watercolor! WOW! This is fantastic. Kim, You ought to get that to one of those places that can turn it into a canvas "watercolor" print. I am so ready for Spring, too. I always look forward to the lilacs here-my favorite flowering bush..and I do love roses oh-and peonies! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love tulips too, was wishing to get some for valentines. I will pick some up this week for sure. I didf get some flowers and they are still pretty. Your photos are beautiful. Hope it warms up SOON!!!

Tulips can make anyone feel that happy . . even when the background of the tulips is the new fallen snow!..I love the red tulips in the sunroom...perfection!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Kim! I thought the first photo was a watercolor too! Tulips are my favorite too....you can't help but smile when you see them.~~Angela

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I picked up some white tulips the other day. I too am ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteI love tulips too! I have a vase of white ones and some red ones mixed with some white flowers for valentines. Kim, when the tulips begin to open widely, rather than toss them out, I gather them together as one tight bloom, tie them off with a pipe cleaner, cut the stems short, and place the newly formed bouquet in a short vase. They look like a beautiful new exotic bloom and will last for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty they don't look real! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI do love red tulips. And paired with yellow ones they're just a beautiful bouquet.

ReplyDeleteKim- those tulips are so beautiful -- just had some pink ones in my kitchen! In the winter especially this winter I buy myself flowers every week to get ready for spring and I am sooooo ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are beautiful. I've been playing with Waterlogue recently. I've sent friends Waterlogue versions of photos I've taken with them or at their home. It' same great App! I've also just read about Tadaa but it looks like it's only available for iPhone not iPad. It looks good too.

I love tulips too, what gorgeous photographs!! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to pick a favorite flower - they are all so beautiful, but Tulips have been at the top of my list since I saw millions of tulips growing in the fields in the Netherlands. I had to buy some a few weeks ago, too. Your red ones look so pretty with your floral print check prints.
