I have been searching for a pastoral painting with cows in it for a couple years that was not super expensive. I even searched on my trip to France and they were still way too costly even though I only saw a couple over there.
This is large and such a pretty scene of a lady and man walking with cows, horses and a dog. Now normally the things in this booth are over priced so I looked at the tag and could not believe my eyes. Since it was my wedding anniversary I came up with a plan so I wouldn't have to spend more of my money. I called Mr. Savvy and asked him if it could be OUR anniversary gift and sent him a pic of it. I know you are thinking does Mr. Savvy really want a pastoral? Well, of course he does. Happy wife happy life. :)
First I had just the painting on the wall, but I just wasn't feeling it so I pulled out some ironstone platters and hung those and added the antlers up top.

I am loving the new look and so is Mr. Savvy. He helped me hang it and I have caught him a time or two looking at it.
Here is what the new painting replaced. These were six cheap floral prints I bought on ebay and framed myself with half price frames and mats from Hobby Lobby. These were a good fit for the room, too and don't worry I have a new spot for them and will share later.
I like this look better.
I like this look better.
Be sure to return tomorrow for another fab favorite room.

ReplyDeletePaintings always give a room more character and class and your find as added so much to your already beautifully done room. I love the painting and I'm not a cow person at all. It has a serenity and I'd love to know what's the rest of the story. Where are they going? Where have they been? (I think I'm getting to deep here. HA!)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I loved the botanicals, THIS makes the room! Great addition!
