I've been playing with a vignette on the French farm table. Since I moved the vintage scale that was here to the sideboard in the great room I had to come up with something new so I got busy shopping the house.
I pulled these things from here and there and just started layering.
I used one of the vintage bread boards as the base and filled a vintage colander with lemons and limes.
A stack of Havilland plates and some checked napkins.
Collected vintage silverware added to a crock.
Doesn't hurt to throw in an old little yellow chicken.
We are really enjoying this table. I love the drawers at each end for our everyday linen storage. I just pull out what's needed and Mr. Savvy puts everything away after we finish eating.
Just for fun I added one of the benches. I had bought these to use at the table, but Mr. Savvy prefers a chair and I totally get that.
I love this look and it didn't cost a thing.
Now, I better go put the bench back in the master bedroom and put the chairs back at the table before the mister has to sit here to eat.

Your vignette looks great Kim and still loving your table.
ReplyDeleteI love the look! I get so much inspiration from your blog...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...love the freshness of the yellow:)
ReplyDeleteKim what a bright and cheerful vignette, love it! Your French farm table and bench are awesome and I love how it's has those storage drawers on the sides. Okay, I'm crazy about your yellow chicken, just so darn cute and along side your yellow napkins it's all delightful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day girl!
Nancy
Love the yellow and white. You would love visiting Hermann. Even though it is a German town, the style of the Festhalle could easily be found in France. We've been so many times and never stayed over till last weekend. Truly enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteI love the addition of the bench. I agree with Mr Savvy. The table we had at the condo had benches. We prefer chairs.
Thant is such a fabulous table! I love your vignette and I think I have that same yellow chicken! And wait! I have the yellow napkins with the rooster on them too! We need to go shopping together!
ReplyDeleteLooks great Kim, I love the drawer space too and the bench is perfect.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love your style :)
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Adorable. Love the yellow chicken!
ReplyDeleteYour vignette is perfect for your table! I love the bench too, but I certainly understand Mr. Savvy preferring chairs. Love you style!
ReplyDeleteLovely Kim! Love your table with those drawers!!~~Angela
ReplyDeleteI love how the yellow accents and the green limes contrast with the red in your curtains. Beautiful, homey room!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the vibrant blue and yellow together for this time of year. So cheery!

Beautiful table vignette....Loving the yellows and blues...so Springy!...yes, men prefer comfort and function over "pretty"....I love that look. Are you still doing "happy dances" on that table..?...it was such an incredible find in France!...So looking forward to the French Country Design party on Sunday!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat vignette Kim. Love that rosemary crock.
ReplyDeleteI love the whole collection of items from around your home. All the bright yellows, blues and reds are just lovely! I LOVE that your table has drawers. I could so use that with all my place-mats and cloth napkins. ~ Jamie
ReplyDeleteNice night pop of yellow Kim. Sigh... still in luv with your table... those drawers... Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI spy checks-from one check loving girl to another! :) The little yellow rooster just makes the whole vignette because he looks so chipper! We have some drawers in our dining table, but they are so small that they aren't useful. It's just a reproduction, but I love how you can actually use yours to store napkins and placemats!
ReplyDeleteHi Kimmie! I love your pretty table and the vignette - you had me at that darling yellow Rooster! OH, how sweet. The yellows and greens.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Such a pretty vignette! Love those drawers on each end. Wish mine had those.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Kim. I love the little yellow chicken!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow, so pretty and such a wonderful table. I really like the bench too. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteI have the perfect bench for our table, but Steve wants a chair - men!
ReplyDeleteI love your vignette and I will be copying it somewhat - after I finish purging in the garage.
Very pretty! I always love a touch of yellow in the spring.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Kim!
ReplyDeleteKim, your table is wonderful! The arrangement is so bright and pretty, too.
ReplyDeleteIt is all so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteKim, your vignette is very cheerful. The pop of yellow is perfect. My friend purchased a French farm table in Paris years ago. We've eaten many a meal off that wonderful piece, and she uses the narrow benches that came with it. Trying to talk her into using chairs. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the bench there - can't he sit in one of the chairs on the other side LOL ?
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful table !
Hi Kim, beautiful table vignette and I love that bench! Enjoy your weekend, Gail
ReplyDeleteSeeing your table reminds me of one of my greatest regrets. I bought one very similar at a garage sale and loved it, especially the storage drawers. When we sold the house it was in, I left it behind and have kicked myself over and over.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the yellow accent in your vignette!
ReplyDeleteKim, did you ever work as a stylist for Pottery barn or something? Your vignettes are always impeccably arranged and perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love that used primary colours. Perfect for a happy spring table.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cheerful after such a long, dreary Winter!

Love the pop of yellow with the chicken. I would be so tempted to leave the bench. It's adorable.
ReplyDeleteLove your bright cheery color selections!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow table! Is it Annie Sloan?
ReplyDeleteNo, it was purchased that way.

Diane, it seems to be a feedburner glitch and there is nothing I can do about it. I don't get many blogs that I subscribe to, too.
