A couple weeks ago I gave you some peeks at a new gallery wall using the botanical prints that were in the dining room until I replaced them with the new picture and ironstone. Did you guess the green guestroom?
The crib that was here for four years is now gone. One of my granddaughters that I babysit had moved up to a big bed at home so she needed to do the same thing here.
This room gets flooded with morning sun.
Mr. Savvy hung the pictures for me after I showed him where and then we slid the chest over. It had been moved towards the door to make room for the crib. Then I added the koobu chairs that were in the hoarding storage room.
I added a floor lamp that was also in the storage room and a basket of magazines for a little reading spot.
I used an old picnic basket to hold the magazines.
I had the pillows that are in the other chair, but I did buy this pillow cover.
On the chest of drawers I placed a basket tray filled with books, a plant and a decorative bird.
A found nest sits in a cloche on one end.
My little bird lamp sits at the other end.
I will share the other side of the room soon.
Anyone need a crib?
I think it will probably go to Goodwill.
Have a great day!
Have a great day!
better hold on to it...you never know! room looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the other side of the room. I bet there is beautiful bedding involved.
ReplyDeleteThose pretty green walls just set the tone for that cozy, refreshing room. I love all your colorful accents and of course, I'm a sucker for those checked curtains!
ReplyDeleteKinda figured out where those pretty prints landed...love that you added those great chairs too!....and I am with Laura...keep the crib in the hoarding room...you just never know!!!...Love it all!!!
ReplyDeleteThose botanical prints look great in this room especially against the green walls.
ReplyDeleteWe had for many years one of those graco playpens that go into a crib under the guestroom bed. I finally put it out at the end of our driveway and a lovely lady came knocking at our door.....is this free for the taking...Ya! It's gone.
The prints look great in there up against that wall color & especially love those chairs!

What a sweet room.....love it!
ReplyDeleteThe prints look perfect in the green room Kim.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! My guest room is currently crowded with a crib. I will have no chance of moving it in the near future. We are expecting two grandsons this year, one in early June and one in September. I will probably have to figure out how to squeeze a pack n play in there, too! Maybe someday my guest room will look as lovely as yours. Your room is a inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLooks good Kim!!
ReplyDeleteYour decorating talent is amazing Kim. The room is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou botanical are beautiful. I have a real weakness for them! I love the way you change things from room to room! You have a great eye for design, my friend!
ReplyDeleteNo more crib? What a big life changer!
ReplyDeleteThe room looks very sophisticated now, and I'm sure you and your guests will enjoy it for a long time.
Such a beautiful room - can I make a reservation? :)

If the crib is in good condition, I would take it to a childrens consignment shop. I sold my crib to a lady that knew Will and had just adopted a baby. Love how the room turned out! It has an outdoor garden feel with all the wicker, birds and flowers.
ReplyDeleteIt looks perfect there! I actually need one, too bad we live so far apart or I would've grabbed any left-over you have from your gorgeous home anytime Kim!
ReplyDeleteKim your guest room is very pretty - love all the Spring/Summer elements in the room. Re: the crib - have you thought about transforming it into a pretty bench for outside?

I love how this side of the room look like. The prints are really lovely and as I told you, I think the gold in the frame look lovely against the soft green of the wall. I think the little reading spot will be very enjoyable for your guests.
ReplyDeleteI love this room. But I do have a question, out of curiosity why did you paint the chair rail the same color as the walls instead of white like the trim? Also wonder why you aren't considering repurposing the crib into a chair or settee, or even a wall hanging. I've seen such cute things done, and there does come a point in your life that you know you won't be needing it anymore. Thanks for all your great inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I painted the chair rail the same color because I want it to disappear. I don't want it anymore and can't get hubby to remove it so I painted it the same as the walls to make it blend.
DeleteI don't want to make anything out of a practically brand new crib that someone else can use.
thanks
What a beautiful room! I still have the babybed in my guest roon. Waiting on the storage house to be built before moving it! I hate like crazy to take it down cause that means no more babies. But then again I might be glad! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteI sure wish you could come to my house and just rearrange every room. While we have been on this "vacation from Hell" that is what I have been thinking of doing when I get home, just moving everything around!!!! You sure have the magic touch!!!!
ReplyDeleteKim- The room looks great. Before you toss that crib google 'things you can make with a crib' and look at all the ideas. They make benches out of them and there are even arbors made out of them. Just a thought-xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLove it all and those Kooboo chairs are so versatile, they look wonderful wherever you put them!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Kim! Love that pillow cover. Do you mind sharing where you got it?
ReplyDeleteBrenda
