Hot weather means adding some summer accents in the house and I started with the foyer since this is the first thing you see when you come in the front door. I created a vignette on the old French chest using old books, ironstone, and some added texture with coral, a sea fan, and a demijohn wrapped in a vine.
The other day I shared my new $10 ironstone finds and this is where the other tureen landed. I placed a piece of coral in it for some summer texture.
This demijohn was a Lamp in the great room, but I wanted to use this bottle here since it is more of a summer color. I added the black sea fan to it and wrapped a vine around it.
I love the books turned the wrong way with the ironstone.
The creamware platter is from Decor Steals and the small transferware plate is a local find. I am loving this faded worn blue transferware. It is a bit pricey, but I have collected a few pieces.
It's chipped and cracked, but I have no problem with the flaws.
End of the day.
Time to add some more summer around the house and to finish the bathroom project.
Have a super week!
