Yesterday when I posted about my weight loss there were a lot of questions about what I'm eating and y'all want some of my smoothie recipes. That was a sponsored post for BlogHer so I will go into more details and answer your questions soon in more posts.
Last week when I shared the the other side of the guestroom the closet doors looked like this and I mentioned that I may paint them.
Well, the next day I did. I grabbed my can of left over paint that I painted my master bath cabinets with last year. The color is Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore paints which is a beautiful greige color.
I like them much better with the bright white toned down.
I still love the over sized knobs that I added and can't decide if I should paint them or not.
Sunday I shared how I already switched the chair in this room and now the closet doors have been updated. Just little tweaks taking place. Y'all know I will probably update again.
I would never have thought to paint them anything but white or maybe the color that was used in the room BUT I love them!! Don't paint the knobs!!!
ReplyDeleteThey look great, it looks to be the perfect neutral color.
ReplyDeleteThe doors look great, Kim. Looking forward to your weight loss posts too.
ReplyDeletewilll i recognize you when i see you!
ReplyDeleteKim, you think of every pretty detail which is the reason your house is so fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI'm losing a little weight right now too...with Weight Watchers. :)
Looking forward to some of those recipes! :)
ReplyDeleteThose look just great painted, Kim. I love the oversized knobs, too, but I would most likely paint them the white color of my trim...but that is just me. I love that chair-it's perfect in the room! Diana
ReplyDeleteI love them painted - and I love the big knobs ( I put larger ones on my doors too ) and this girl who paints everything in sight actually likes them in wood because of the other wood elements in the room -
ReplyDeleteIt all looks beautiful !
Love them painted Kim!! You know I love Revere Pewter, practically my whole house is painted with it! I love the knobs as is! Looks beautiful! Xo,Kathy
ReplyDeleteOh yes..they look great!...Fabulous choice of color!!...Can't wait to see the rest of the room!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great look by painting the closet doors.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteThe doors look great. Love the new color. Very pretty. I love the knobs too.
Kris
Kim I LOVE the way they look...now you have me wanting paint all of mine!!!
ReplyDeleteHow about painting the knobs and then distress them so you have some of the wood showing through?
The doors came out terrific, Kim - just love that color! Congrats on your weight loss, too. I'm about to turn 46 and have noticed my metabolism slowing down, so I may try your tip on smoothies/juices.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the French Country style mag feature, too!!
Kim, your doors look great that color. I have been admiring that color ever since you painted your bathroom. I am seriously thinking about painting my bathroom that color in the near future. Your piece on your weight loss was a great inspiration for me. I, too, have been struggling to loss about 25 lbs., but it seems that it takes forever for me to even lose 5 lbs. I am thinking now that g.luten may be the problem. Can't weight until you post smoothie and other recipes
ReplyDeleteRevere Pewter really is a beautiful color. I am thinking about using it somewhere in my house one of these days...

I'm on the fence about the knobs. I rather like them. What color were you considering painting them? You're much an expert on painting than I am. And I'm painting up a sloppy storm in this kitchen!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Those folding closet doors are always a challenge, but I think painting them was a great idea! Nice color choice.
ReplyDeleteYou amaze me - what a hard worker ! I have to think and ponder and procrastinate for months at a time before I paint something - especially the procrastinate part - you just up and do it and it looks fantastic !
ReplyDeleteMy inspiration !
I love the closet doors! I would never have thought to paint them anything other than white. Leave the knobs....love the contrast. SO enjoyed your post yesterday about your weight loss journey. Looking forward to seeing your recipes. I have been juicing for about a month now..1 am and 1 at noon. Feel so much better and sleeping better. I have to get off about 25 lbs and your post inspired me to keep up the juicing!

ReplyDeleteThe doors are great, but I couldn't stop looking at the fun ticking pillow. You find the cutest things.
ReplyDeleteThe y look really great and I LOVE that pillow on the chair!

They look amazing. Luv the knobs. Funny, my son is in the process of painting his room and I suggested he paint the closet doors something other than white, Will have to share this post. Always inspiring me...
ReplyDeleteThe doors look great painted! Looking forward to learning more about your weight loss....
ReplyDeleteLove the door color and the oversize door knobs Kim. We just put new doors in out guest room and now you have me thinking. I also think I would paint them either white or the same color as your doors. Either way, painted or not, the doors look great!
ReplyDeleteXO Barbara
The doors look fab in that color Kim.
ReplyDeleteLove the painted doors, Kim! The knobs are a perfect accent! Congrats on your weight loss!
DeleteLove the color on your closet doors along with the contrast of the knobs.
ReplyDeleteKristi
Love the doors painted Kim,never thought about doing that. What a difference!
ReplyDeleteYour newly painted doors look great Kim. The difference in color makes a big impact!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea...they look great painted Kim! And congrats on the weight loss....I keep losing and gaining 7 lbs over and over and over....
ReplyDeleteOooh, love the doors in that color! I don't think you need to paint the knobs, but when you showed a close up I sort of thought they should be painted too. I would have to live with them awhile before painting them to make sure I really don't want the wood look.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
I love the idea of painting doors. Not a huge project and if you decide to change them, not much money.
ReplyDeleteLove the gray! Love the knobs! Looking forward to some recipes... I've been using spinach, greek yogurt and fruit. Bought some frozen spinach over the weekend, going to try it this week, hopefully it will taste the same.
